The thing is US exports hardly anything nowadays and is importing pretty much everything from all around the world.
us exports dollars, hence the largest trade deficit. if the dollar goes to toilet, then we are fucked.

Nah since Trump will be adding tariffs on all countries around the world, everybody will be scrambling to try to manipulate their currency to make it cheaper vs. the USD as a way to counter the tariffs mark my words. So USD will still reign supreme.
Oh wow that evenly? Well Canada will just add 25% tariffs on US exports. That would've cancelled out pretty much the tariffs that Trump wants to add. I am sure that's what Canada would do.
