Agreed. We very much need to keep him away from the heavy arms of Lindsey and John until he is ready. I was disappointed he let them play him. He was much better as the Fl house leader, IMO.
http://cnsnews.com/commentary/jen-kuznicki/america-vs-dc "Boehner's comment above shows this distinction. He, in effect, said, "We can't shut down the government over your concerns about the government takeover of healthcare. Get over it, we are doing this for your own good, you aren't special, we are, and that's that." We can understand the Democrats' wish to convey this message. They are, after all, interested in controlling our lives using the government we pay for. But, the Republican Party is being led by people so out of touch with regular Americans, our dinner table issues, and our knowledge of the right and ethical ways to comport ourselves, that the American people have no real choice in elections anymore, and that is unconscionable." More and more people are beginning to agree with you BSAM.
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/penny-starr/top-republicans-refuse-sign-pledge-de-fund-obamacare "Top Republicans Refuse to Sign Pledge to De-Fund Obamacare" "The Senate Conservatives Fund website shows that 1.2 million people have signed a pledge to defund the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. But a number of top Republicans apparently have refused to sign the pledge, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Sens. John McCain (Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.)." ..."Aside from McConnell, McCain, and Graham, the other Republican Senators who "won't pledge" to sign are Richard Shelby (Ala.), Roy Blunt (Mo.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Tom Coburn (Okla.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Bob Corker (Tenn.) and Orin Hatch (Utah). The 13 Republican Senators who have signed the pledge are Mike Lee (Utah), Ted Cruz (Texas), Rand Paul (Ky.), Chuck Grassley (Iowa), Mike Crapo (Idaho), Jim Risch (Idaho), Pat Roberts (Kan.), David Vitter (La.), Deb Fischer (Neb.), Jeff Chiesa (N.J.), Jim Inhofe (Okla.), John Thune (S.D.) and Mike Enzi (Wyo.)" It's fairly clear the type of people we need to vote out, and the type we need to vote in. It appears some were against Obama care before they were for it (or so they claimed). And I don't buy for a minute that there is a better way to do it. Just look at the people the GOP keeps putting up for prez. The WH is out of reach currently, and w/o the WH, it won't ever be repealed.
