Has every criminal in America made its way to the OWS protests? DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) â CBS 11 News has learned of an investigation into the possible sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at the Occupy Dallas campsite. Some members of the group told CBS 11 they never knew the girl was 14 and that she had claimed to be 19 years old. Police were alerted after someone recognized the girl from a picture seen on a flyer asking for help locating a missing teen. When police took the girl into custody Sunday afternoon she reportedly told them she had been having sex with a man in his 20âs at the Occupy Dallas encampment and had engaged in sexual activity with several other people. One Occupy Dallas protestor said if the allegations are true measures should be taken to ensure everyoneâs safety. âWeâll find out what the truth is and if thatâs her story, that she was having sex with older men in the park, I guess we really need to watch the age group thatâs coming in here and get control of that,â Rich Coffman said. Occupy Dallas organizers told CBS 11 theyâll implement a 10 p.m. curfew and check the identification of anyone seen walking the grounds after that time. Monday morning the girl remained in custody as police continued to investigate the allegations. It turns out that when he says "them," the guy is referring not to billionaire Jewish bankers but street vagrants. "They come in here and they're looking at it as a way of getting a free meal and a place to crash, which is totally fine, but they don't bring anything to the table at all." The same is true in New York, where, according to the Daily News, "Zuccotti Park has become a haven for the homeless," who are abandoning shelters and camping out at the park, "enticed by the allure of free food and a community of open-minded people." But as in Boston, open-mindedness goes only so far. "We have compassion toward everyone. However, we have certain rules and guidelines," says Lauren Digioia, 26, who belongs to the "sanitation committee": "If you're going to come here and get our food, bedding and clothing, have books and medical supplies for no charge, they need to give back," Digioia said. LOL, too funny, they are learning another one of the problems with socialism, someone else always needs the free stuff just a little more then they do. I wonder if the OWS crowd will continue to espouse the joys of socialism, when they realize they couldnt even manage to make it work with crowds of a couple thousand people. The socialist utopia down at OWS seems to be quickly degenerating into something straight out of the book "lord of the flies," where anything goes.
