party of law and order they said.... back the blue they said... no ballot harvesting, voter ID's they said... https://www.politico.com/states/cal...llot-boxes-despite-prosecution-threat-1324290 Trump urges California GOP to 'fight on' with unofficial ballot boxes despite prosecution threat OAKLAND — President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday to urge the California Republican Party to “fight on” in its move to collect ballots in unofficial “drop boxes’’ around the state, in defiance of legal threats from state officials. Trump’s comments come a day after top California officials sent the state party a cease-and-desist notice, ordering them to remove the unofficial ballot drop boxes. The appearance of the boxes prompted Gov. Gavin Newsom to accuse California Republicans of being “willing to lie, cheat and threaten our democracy all for the sake of gaining power.” Trump, in a Tuesday tweet, wrote, "You mean only Democrats are allowed to do this? But haven’t the Dems been doing this for years? See you in court. Fight hard Republicans!” Secretary of State Alex Padilla and Attorney General Xavier Becerra, both Democrats, have warned Republicans that if they do not remove their boxes by Thursday, they will face prosecution. Trump’s support of the drop boxes has been echoed by defiant state GOP officials as the two major parties feud over election rules during the pandemic in California, where the state's 21.2 million voters already have received their ballots by mail. The boxes surfaced at Republican-friendly venues such as churches and gun shops as Californians last week began returning their mail ballots at a record pace. Because California is relying heavily on mail balloting this year, the state's 58 counties have placed many more official drop boxes at various locations, from supermarkets to elections offices. Republicans on Monday said relying on unofficial ballot boxes was no different than the "ballot harvesting" that Democrats organized with great success during the 2018 midterm elections. Under California law, third-party collection of ballots is legal as long as a voter formally authorizes another person to return their ballot for them. Democratic volunteers in the last election collected ballots from voters who indicated they wanted help submitting them. Padilla and Becerra on Monday argued that the California GOP's recent placement of unauthorized drop boxes in Fresno, Los Angeles and Orange counties differs from Democratic “ballot harvesting” efforts because voters assume their ballot will be delivered via an official-looking mechanism — all without signing their ballots. They demanded GOP campaign officials stop using private containers marked as “official” drop boxes, saying official boxes are subject to state security standards and can only be installed by county registrars. But the California Republican Party on Monday asserted that it would continue to rely on the boxes, potentially setting up a legal battle with state officials — as Trump alluded to in his Tuesday tweet. Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron also argued Tuesday the move was legal. “This ballot collection box issue is simple,’’ she tweeted. “Republicans trying to expand voter access; Dems trying to suppress votes.” Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), appearing on Central Valley radio station KMJ Tuesday, had a terse response to Newsom: “Screw you! You created the law, we’re going to ballot harvest,’’ he said on “The Ray Appleton Show.” And Fresno County Republican Party officials Tuesday also defended the move to set them up. “We are doing nothing illegal,” Fresno County Republican Chair Fred Vanderhoof told GVWire, a local news site. “The whole ballot harvesting law is purposely designed very loosely so the Democrats can cheat, which they are doing in large numbers. They can do ballot harvesting, but we can’t. That’s what they’re saying. So they’re hypocritical.” GVWire reported that Vanderhoof set up the boxes in 12 different locations — including a local smog check business, where a cardboard box was placed behind the front desk with a sign stating, “Authorized Secure Ballot Drop.”
Rules are put in place to make sure our elections are fair and honest as much as possible. However, you cannot prevent partisans who happen to be election officials also, to facilitate election fraud if it suits them. Take note the recent decision of the US Supreme Court to allow ballots without a postmark to be accepted as well continue to accept ballots days after the election? This is one more reason Judge Amy Coney Barrett needs to be confirmed to the US Supreme Court. Various election issues pertaining to ballots and rules will come before the US Supreme Court. That opens the opportunity to cheat in various ways. I would not go thru the various ways cheating would happen so as not to give ideas to extreme liberals thinking of ways to cheat. Project Veritas has busted Democrat activists engaged in cheating in past elections as well as Ilhan Omar and her associates in Minnesota for the November 3, 2020. And if there is an attempt to cheat in one state, there would be similar attempts in other states. Just common sense. If you are trying to win a national election, you cannot just cheat in 1 state out of 50 states? That would make absolutely, no sense.

As threats to disrupt Election Day grow, some members of a far-right Trump superfan group are boasting about securing positions as polling station managers and supervisors while dozens of them are advocating violence on November 3. “Consider this polling station...ON LOCK DOWN” That’s what a member of the far-right message board TheDonald.win posted this week, alongside a picture of a South Carolina poll manager’s handbook. The poster, utahbeachballs1944 responded to other users’ comments, saying “my polling place is gonna be like trying to enter North Korea. Fucking LOCKED DOWN” and added: “I will be honoring the BLM movement by working in Blackface.” Utahbeachballs1944 is among at least four users of TheDonald who have posted pictures showing polling station manuals as evidence that they will be overseeing voting on Election Day next month, according to an investigation by VICE News. VICE News has been unable to independently verify that these people are actually poll workers, but the photos they posted of official materials did not show up on a reverse image search, suggesting that they are photos taken by the posters themselves. The posts on the message board also match a pattern of activity we've seen before and come in response to specific suggestions from Trump that his supporters "watch" the vote.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/su...et-late-mail-ballots-count-wisconsin-n1244865 In setback for Democrats, Supreme Court won't let late mail ballots count in Wisconsin Voting rights groups and the state and national Democratic parties had filed lawsuits seeking to extend the deadline. WASHINGTON — Wisconsin cannot count mail ballots that arrive well after the polls close, under an order issued Monday by the U.S. Supreme Court, a defeat for Democrats in a battleground state. By a vote of 5-3, the justices declined to lift a lower court ruling preventing the state from counting mail ballots that arrive as much as six days after election day. Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan said they would have granted the request. Voting rights groups, the state and national Democratic parties, and the League of women Voters filed lawsuits seeking to extend the deadline for accepting mail-in ballots. They said the flood of absentee ballots and problems arising from the pandemic make it harder for voters to receive their mail ballots and return them on time. Wisconsin has been especially hard hit by COVID-19, with hospitals nearly filled to capacity.
