More evidence that the gig economy is actually making people poorer

Lol, what is it with some women who think a fuck or for that matter x-fucks equate to marrying into money. If they attach a value at a solvent guy and give a damn about love then is it not fair and square to say them allowing to be fucked is not worth a penny more than a hooker doing the same thing?it probably must be discounted even due to amateur status and performance. Why do some women believe that spreading legs is worth the same as pedigree, hard work, a full time career and family fortunes?

I watched a documentary on fentanyl addicts in Calgary and some of them were loitering and begging for money or pushing shopping carts back to the Super market entrances. They earned more than 15 per hour.

Re your point, agree, though most of that "negative baggage" (not sure I agree to include kids in such terminology) is due to poor education.

It's a sacrifice all right, though, not any different then many other things. Hell, I allow people to fuck my brain for prolonged periods of time because there is money involved

Do you care to explain where the sacrifice lies? You are not as 25 year old gal giving head to a 80 year old grandpa. You get treated for a nice dinner, driven around, treated for drinks, you get to enjoy a nice hotel and you may even have an orgasm. Sounds more like you ought to pay the guy, not the other way around. I am happily married and out of the race but have never in the past ever paid for sex directly or indictectly via purchases, vacation, or anything the like. Not once. I always dated women who could afford to pay for their own vacation and who happily took the occasional turn covering dinner. It must be some ugly bastard or nasty shite who has to pay to surround himself with a woman. But then I also acknowledge there are probably some on this site who hail from cultures where the father still has the sweat stink from fucking a whore all over him when he gets home to do the dinner prayer in front of the wife and kids.

Well, there is a poster in this thread hailing from Germany, you know, the european Cambodia of the sex industry, and it is you Zzzz1.
There is no need to look further than your homeland and culture to illustrate your point.
Besides it's a blessing so many young chicks hope getting laid will bring them to a better life, and it probably works sometimes, I guess it is the law of large numbers for some of those girls.
And Sle is right, men or women, we all do stuff we wouldn't do if not for money or at least prospects of some kind of material gains.
    Except Zzzz1, of course.

Correct, I would not do everything for money. So let me ask you, you would not have an issue if your daughter(s) would want to get laid for money? That's OK in your book? If yes, why would you then not let her Johns come over to your home to do their deed, after all it would be safer for your daughters if you were around no? Funny how some people approve of all sort of stuff as long as it does not happen to the family. You would of course then not be familiar with "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" but it perfectly applies here.

There are people who have moral standards and boundaries and others who push those boundaries all the way to the bottom. I don't know you so you need to judge for yourself where those limits are. But I guess it makes you a hypocrite if you would not want your daughters to be whores but fuck other girls for money, women who have fathers and family, too.

If someone says "I'll have sex for money because I need to feed the kids" it's usually accepted as a true, selfless sacrifice. In case of "I'll have sex with someone just to get out of the ghetto" the sacrifice is more implicit (probably because no cash changes hands) but it's the same motivation - you don't have the benefits of a good school, pedigree or other sources of luck, but you desperately want to improve your situation by any means.

The girl that was telling this eventually figured it out (Valedictorian from the Bronx, Columbia, top tier IB as her first job etc). One of the days we were chatting about a charity project and suddenly I learned a lot of things about growing up in Spanish Harlem. So "the shit is real".

PS. Are you gonna tell me that you have never kissed your bosses ass when the bonus season came? Or, maybe you would claim that it was a pleasant social interaction?

Are you sure you really want to ask Volpunter/Zzz1 for non hypocritical opinion ? Good luck with that...

Cannot disagree more. What is a true selfless sacrifice is to choose not to have kids when one can obviously not afford them with honest work. And those who had kids but where the breadwinner ran away have even in those countries the means to have family courts enforce the breadwinner to pay money for the upbringing of children. And even if that is not suitable then family members can chip in and support each other. You are basically saying that unethical and often illegal means are justified when in need. Well then why do we punish the pickpocket who "just wants to feed her kids" but do not think wrong about the hooker who engages in illegal or at the very least unethical and immoral practices? Again, it very much depends where your own moral compass is pointing to in order to argue those points.

Re the girl you mentioned, my point is that it was pure selfishness and egotrip.she already attained a lot on her own (i presume according to your explanation) yet that was not enough. She needed that MD title guy to feel justified and secured materially and status wise. Or for what purpose did she feel the needed to sleep up? Makes zero sense to me. It's like cheating in exams. Some feel horrible afterwards and for others they could not care less as long as they get that A or pass. Makes a huge difference in my book because it tells you everything about the character of a human being.

PS yes I never ever kissed my bosses ass for anything. I even told each and every of my bosses that I would not be able to deny their presence to clients on the phone who wanted to talk to the boss but the boss did not want to. I set myself very high standards at work and life and maybe that is why my thoughts may be construed as condescending. But i do hold myself up to the same high standards.

How else do you get paid? Since you talk to clients, I have to assume you are on the sell side. Good for you. On the sell side you only get paid if you know how to play politics. Even if you made a ton of money for the firm, the actual payout in that good year will vary with the quality of your lipwork. I will be first one to admit that I have kissed my bosses ass, with varying degrees of success - for example, in my best year ever I was told "we have some good news and we have some bad news".
