I think the headline speaks for itself. https://www.newsweek.com/kids-and-g...ldren-1370866?amp=1&__twitter_impression=true
Sounds like gangs and drug dealers are having a banner year. If more civilians would carry and take greater responsility towards their communities, perhaps these statistics can be improved.
Are you disagreeing that over 90% of the non-domestic shootings in the U.S. involve gangs and drug dealers?
Our population under the age of 18 outnumbers our police officers and active military by about 35 to 1. If you remove the suicides from the equation, our active military and police officers were about 22 time more likely to be killed than someone under the age of 18. To put things further into perspective, many inner city kids go into gangs by the age of 13. There are a lot of gang members that get killed before they reach 18. I bet if you removed the gang related homicides, the number of kids killed by guns would drop drastically. The numbers may be somewhat misleading, but that doesn't mean we can't make strides to bring them down. We need to secure our schools, and we need to find a way to get guns out of the hands of gang members.
Joining a gang and selling drugs while illegally armed pretty much places teens in the line of fire. If these "children" are irresponsibly in the manner then nobody should be surprised at the expected results from their lack of personal responsibility.
