More and more, I'm beginning to believe that a Right Wing mindset is a mental defect

  1. The reporting of extraordinary items, be they non-recurring income or expenses, is not new. The method by which it is being used now is not new. There is no "new method." The method is the same as it has been for comparative purposes. You had no point to make. You simply wanted to get away with an insipid, vacuous drive-by with no informational or entertainment value. Read the thread title.

  2. You mean the title of the poll you are losing?

I absolutely had a point to make, and I'll state it yet again. My point is that earnings reporting has lost integrity and is becoming increasingly less reflective of the companies actual income in recent history. Further, that this is in no small measure because of the way ex items has increasingly been being used.

Look, when you actually trade and when you are actually disecting a companies sheets then maybe we can have this talk. It's not that advanced, but clearly over your head. If you had any idea what you were talking about, or what I was talking about then maybe there would be hope...

  3. So you think that fiscal year end window dressing is a new phenomenon and that the elasticity of GAAP is only now being rigorously exercised? Gosh, aren't you precious.

The poll enumerates the number of mental deficients who have participated thus far: 25 and counting. Tell your friends.

hee hee, I like the trading game... in other arenas people can point to awards and degrees and whatnot to prove they are not mental deficients and they can be like you, really mentally deficient... but in the trading game all that one needs to look at is their account balance history and all other arguments are moot...

I moved to an area recently that is the absolute epicenter of liberalism of California... and I'm hanging with anti-war protesters, new agey witches, people that are going to cure hunger and poverty, etc., ad nauseum... and I notice that for every one of those people that are so eager to give away my money there are two others hanging around collecting freebies... that right there is enough to see the handwriting on the wall regarding the potential success of all the liberal agendas... they have had historically significant failures already, look at Soviet Russia for an example... you really have to be mentally incompetent to go on in the face of such epic failure and obvious deficiency but ye godz, they keep on with it!! Sarah Palin is just a cheerleader really but when I compare her chances of making good executive decisions to those of such mental deficients as Liberals I have to come down on the side of Sarah!! She's more capable of getting something right than these liberals!! That says a lot about liberals and their "thinking"...

  6. Sure. You want all your "freedoms" yesterday. But you wish to curtail the rights of people who make you feel uncomfortable. Meanwhile, you probably could not care less about the discomfort you cause to those people around you as you go open-carry at a local Starbucks. How well and truly Right Wing. Perhaps Mav can supersize your "freedoms" order for you. Normally, phenomena would take your order but he's too busy uncovering the shocking secret of financial statement manipulation.
