You obfuscate and I'm not having it.

Statues of Confederate figures exist because they remind us that we fought a large civil war and that some figures on both sides earned recognition for their acts.

You can hiss and spit and lash out all you want but at this point you are behaving like a scum-sucking corporate attorney who never served and who hates white people based simply on their pigmentation. You are a racist. Not a term I throw around lightly.

When you lose the arguement just call the other person a racist.

    1. Confederate monuments were not put up by the military to honor the fighters so on that you are wrong.

    2. Statues of Confederate figures were put up by the KKK and white supremacists and Confederacy groups around the time there was a push for civil rights.

The most recent comprehensive study of Confederate statues and monuments across the country was published by the Southern Poverty Law Center last year. A look at this chart shows huge spikes in construction twice during the 20th century: in the early 1900s, and then again in the 1950s and 60s. Both were times of extreme civil rights tension.

You do not even know why the statues were put up and you are making up an argument about why they should be there.

You use a bullshit military argument that was easily proven wrong....

I am sorry your side lost the war...when you did "serve" did you advocate that the bases have a memorial day for the traitors who fought against the U.S. government?

You and Boog act normal like 90% of the time but then revert to some seriously childish statements.

    I don't get it. Man-children I guess.

Confederate Statues do not glorify the Confederacy. They honor individuals who did notable things.

I mean, go ahead and tear them down. I don't care. I'm just pointing out the abject ignorance and social folly of trying to erase actual history. You folks can destroy the country if you like as I'm just not going to be affected. If things get messy I'll just give in and become a ragged-assed ex-pat like some of you already are.

I did my thing and I'm done. If you want a country that cannot support your kids that is up to you. Matters not to me. I'm not going to pick up a gun and become a counter-revolutionary. I'll just leave. I like Zurich to be honest.

Yes, 321X2Q. Decorated for expert marksmanship and awarded Good Conduct Medal. No campaign pin. E-5 at separation. Assigned to 4th Tactical Fighter Wing, 335th Fighter Squardron (The Chiefs). Served as radar/weapons control tech and became a Mission Debriefer. I was an NCO at 20 years old.

France? Yeah no. I lived in Toulouse and worked at Matra for a bit. You have to own your own kitchen gear in France. When you rent an apartment or villa the kitchen is empty not even a sink and you hook up your own stuff. Friends there have full stainless-kitchens that are removable. Silly country.

Oh that patch though, gotta get rid of that lol.

  7. There is no need to have statues of traitors.

I did a road trip in Germany 2-3 years back and couldn't locate one single Nazi statue. We do not need statues of people who fought against the USA in the USA. If you want to put up such statues, go ahead and put those up in North Korea or Russia.

Well Nazis didn't do anything notable in the positive sense, so germans aren't inclined to honor them.

Twist the narrative as you like. Tear down every statue in the country. But when you get to destroying the Constitution I think you will encounter some resistance.
