Monitor Stand, which one is good ?

Which monitor brand / stand is good, strong enough..

Do you want something that mounts/bolts to a desk or wall or would you like something that stands on a desktop?

Yes was looking something that stands on a desktop.

+1 for ergotron. i've been using the same one for more than six years. if a nuke was set off next to it, i think the stand would still be there.

 

Check ebay. There aren't any fake/knock-off stands that I know of (yet)

 

If i am doing a setting of 8 monitors.
4 at the bottom
4 on top of it.

So does Ergotron has such type of combination, or what do you suggest please.

 

AFAIK, ergotron doesn't make a single stand to support 8 monitors - you would need 2 separate stands holding 4 each (2 by 2).

Check out stands by Planar and Doublesight, they are both good and strong enough to hold 4 monitors. Doublesight stands come pre-assembled, so you will pay more for shipping, however they are very durable.
