MoneyTec Forums: Abysmal, lowlife snakeoil standards

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by TigerO, May 6, 2004.

  1. Now keeping true to the topic of this thread "MoneyTec Forums: Abysmal, lowlife snakeoil standards", I'd like to present some of these standards.

I'm sure we have heard alot of this moderator named "SoulTrader", well, here are just a handful of his posts.

These next few are the ones he posted on the uncle Elliot thread which was the most popular on Moneytec. It seems that since the thread creator decided to get into training and signals, he entered into direct competition with SoulTrader. It would seem quite obvious (to anyone reading it) that SoulTrader's intention was to sabotage and close the thread so as to remove any competition. I don't think these comments are too surprising.

Page 744, post 5952 http://www.moneytec.com/forums/211446-post5952.html (some of it extracted)

If you notice at the bottom, it mentions that it was " Last edited by soultrader : 16-10-2006 at 03:45."

What was edited out in this post were paedophilic comments made by SoulTrader. He did so twice and a few people expressed their disgust, however, these posts were deleted.

But anyway, there was really only one person in that thread that was consistantly disruptive and that was the alias "peteuk" aka "MickMason" aka "Henry-Hub" and a friend of SoulTrader's (assuming they are not the same person, but that's a BIG assumption!). So rather than deal with this one individual, SoulTrader instead decided to threaten the closure of the whole thread. Strange that!

Next one is on page 795, post 6356 http://www.moneytec.com/forums/f59/trading-eur-usd-uncle-elliot-closed-15582/page795.html

I wonder why this was posted in public rather than private? Was it leading to something? :) For some reason I thought moderator's were there to listen to complaints, otherwise, why be a moderator? Anyway, surfer mentioned that he only ever made two complaints on Moneytec, one for Henry-Hub who was banned a few hours later and the other for peteuk. Interestingly enough, once Henry was banned, surfer's thread returned back to normal without disruptions, but that was short lived because peteuk come along and continued where Henry left off (in the same style and everything). Very similar to MickMason's in fact. I can only assume that another moderator banned Henry but it didn't take SoulTrader long to unban that alias.

Well, the next post is SoulTrader's second last on this thread. It's on page 799, post 6386 http://www.moneytec.com/forums/f59/trading-eur-usd-uncle-elliot-closed-15582/page799.html (here is a snip)

Aha, it makes sense now! Yes of course, so many complaints (well all of two) need to be investigated properly and look at what it reveals! I have had the same IP address as surfer a total of 17 times. Wow, now after one/two years and a combined 1750 posts, we have had the same IP address a total of 17 times. Now that definitely proves it without a shadow of doubt! 17 times and we are the same person. I think we must have used our flying reindeer for the hundreds of other times our IP addresses were different!

But anyway, you would think that any suspicious moderator would simply just ask for clarification wouldn't you, instead of closing the most popular thread on Moneytec? Nah... that's obviously asking too much when you can just so easily cut the competition out! :)

Well anyway, we are now sadly at the last post of the thread written only one hour after Soul's second last post. I know he mentioned that "this thread will be closed after allowing a few hours for replies", but I don't really blame the poor chap for closing it so quickly. There were so many people defending surfer that he really had no choice. Read pages 799 and 800
    http://www.moneytec.com/forums/f59/trading-eur-usd-uncle-elliot-closed-15582/page799.html
    http://www.moneytec.com/forums/f59/trading-eur-usd-uncle-elliot-closed-15582/page800.html
and you can see that there are replies to posts that are no longer there. So many posts had to be deleted so it must have been too much hard work anyone accusing SoulTrader of being peteuk, well, they just had to be banned! He surely couldn't take a few more hours of that! Well surprisingly enough, peteuk had none of his posts deleted! Good team effort it seams. :D

I'll leave it there for now and I'll make some comments on that last post another day!

    More to follow shortly.

  2. Umm, yeah, I could see my name with surfer's in the screen shots a total of three times, which means there were another 14 missing to make a total of 17 times we shared the same IP address (as SoulTrader himself stated in his second last post http://www.moneytec.com/forums/213569-post6386.html ).

Now seeing that we made a total of 1750 posts, over a couple of years, I wonder where the other <B>missing</B> hundreds point to? To prove something you would at least provide the full list don't you think? Do you really believe someone (apart from the gullible types) will be convinced by 3 selective screenshots?

Like I said, we didn't use any fancy proxy servers to achieve the same IP address, we just used aeroplanes! Something that even you could understand!

Well it seems from your point of view, a few laughing icons combined with a newbie alias making a one liner post and a few screenshots dismisses all of the evidence I have already provided. Oh, not to mention you calling me a lying scumbag to add a bit of extra realism! Don't worry though, you will have plenty of opportunities to call me names and add extra laughing icons as there is so much more coming and a lot of it is already contained within the Uncle elliot thread! So no-one can say that I'm making things up.

Also, I forgot to mention that surfer's site is still under construction. Give it time! It had taken him one year to create the most popular thread on Moneytec! It wasn't done overnight. :)

  3. Another forum airing their dirty laundry over here on EliteTrader. That 6 months pay lost in 2 weeks thread was another one that comes to mind.

  4. Not the UK apparently, not one, how odd.

Jeeeez you keep coming back like a bad smell, I thought you said you’d achieved your goals (???) and bid us all farewell…..twice! Anyways, I’m not reading that lot let alone replying to it all, the first few lines told me it’s just more dross and rantings from the anally retentive, for crissakes get a hobby or something!

Look, I realise you’re feeling very pissed about the whole thing and need to vent your anger and frustration somewhere but put it in perspective, is being banned on MT really that important in the scheme of things? It’s all done and dusted, get over it and move on, it’s not worth getting an ulcer over.

Two words sum up this whole he-said she-said nonsense….'who cares'! Not Kyle or Soultrader that’s for sure, you’re probably giving them a good laugh by how wound up you’re getting.

You keep banging on about ‘competition’ but you never say what for, how was the closing of your thread and the unceremonious arse kicking you got anything to do with competition, the only person trying to sell anything was you! I very much doubt anyone sees your attempts at a trading forum as competition, and by the looks of it Kyle has other business interests apart from MT anyway, do you really think he cares?

People sometimes say this in jest but seriously, you really do need to get a life. Try joining in with the other discussions here, you never know you may learn something and find it fun, heaven knows it looks like you need some!

    Cheers

  5. I thought this ended last week but you obviously couldn't let it go after being exposed. I even let you have the last word but that wasn't enough! Give it time Mick, the hurt will eventually go but you'll have to stop posting here for the healing to start.

OK, lets just keep going over old territory again and again and pretend it hasn't been covered before. YAWN.... Now, after 1750 posts, don't you think that just 3 entries using the same IP proves practically nothing?

Well, maybe I need to spell it out for the thick! Here you go - I have flown to Belgrade (using an aeroplane) and surfer has flown to London (using an aeroplane) quite a few times and I don't deny using surfer's computer (and he has used mine also). In fact, I know I've used it more than 3 times so do you have anything else apart from those screenshots? That seems to be the only thing you have and we just keep going over it. I'm sure you believe in the Loch Ness monster also, there are lots of screenshots that prove she lives! Nice nessie :)

OK, here is another one for you. It's a conversation we had last summer. I was off to Cornwall and Devon and you were off to Taunton (Corfe). http://www.moneytec.com/forums/203458-post4987.html

Neighbours! I even invited you for a beer! http://www.moneytec.com/forums/203515-post5009.html

Now for someone who was only pretending to be pipmaster and situated all the way in Belgrade, don't you think it's a little odd to invite you for a beer in the UK? Interestingly, surfer kept posting during that two week period but pipmaster didn't! Check pages 624 of surfer's thread and onwards if you need reminding.

    http://www.moneytec.com/forums/f59/trading-eur-usd-uncle-elliot-closed-15582\page624.html

You might as well just give up here Mick, there is just way to much evidence out there to disprove everything you say and it's there on Moneytec also, so I can't be accused of making it up! Remember, maintaining a lie is hard work! I hope it is starting to sink through your thick skull now.

Dear oh dear! And you're accusing me of dross! Go back and read over what you just wrote! Why would I be pissed at anything? I'm glad I have been enlighted as to what Moneytec is really about! And why should I care what Kyle or SoulTrader think? It's more fun just exposing who they are and at least enlighten others as to what they are about! Oh, and are you trying to convince someone that SoulTrader has nothing to sell? Hahaha, very funny indeed. :D

Anyway, you are the one that needs to get over it. Just accept your position and move on. Like you said, there's plenty of other threads here. Anyway, if you're just plain ol' MickMason, why do you keep defending Mtec?

Somehow I don't think this is the end, but I have some other things to expose! Maybe teamforex and forex618 can be the next topic of interest. :)

  6. lol, it took you what was it, 3 years and 1750 posts, but it wasn't until they put an end to you promoting your little scam on their forum that you suddenly decide to speak out. Yeah right, it's all sour grapes as far as I can see, except for them closing your thread and booting you out you would still be on there touting your dubious wares to anyone gullible enough to be interested.

I'm not sure how to break this to you but the forum is free! People only read and post there if they want to, if they don't like what they find then they move on, that's what normal people do. All your effort to try and discredit MT doesn't affect Kyle one way or the other, it's not as if anyone is going to plough through this lot to help them make a decision about whether to read/post on a free forum! On the other hand anyone considering subscribing to your services may well exercise caution and take the time to read this and see what kind of person they would be dealing with. In such a competitive market like signal selling, where dodgy people like you hang out hoping to pick up a crumb, a potential client is very easily put off especially when there is so much choice out there. Who potentially loses out more, you or Kyle? Very smart move FXsurfer, it probably would have been more prudent to go quietly and hope no-one noticed!

You're beginning to sound a bit hysterical, relax, calm down. Convince someone? Who? You're the only one here! No need to convince anyone anyway, he isn't selling anything, period. The system that he was selling a while back was automated and is no longer for sale as it's making too much money as far as I know, why sell it? Nope, you were the one trying to sell something over there, not Soultrader. Out of the window goes your 'competition' excuse for being banned.

lol, you make me laugh, 'other things to expose'! It's all of little consequence anyway, who are you trying to expose these things to, potential visitors/members/posters to MT? Do you really think your little rants will stop them, in fact it's more likely to encourage them to go and have a look for themselves! But even if it did, so what, it doesn't make any difference to anyone if no-one posts there, in fact it would probably save Kyle a fortune in hosting fees :)

    Really, too funny!

So anyway, carry one, I can't wait for the next action-packed thrilling installment.........[IMG]

  7. Someone give that old record a kick please, it seems stuck again singing the same old tune over and over. I don't really blame you though, in the face of all that evidence what else can you say?

If all of this is of little consequence, why would you put so much effort into it? Do you like eating soar grapes? My grapes are ripe so I know why I'm doing it, but why you? You're just plain ol' MickMason are you not? What interests do you have with Mtec?

So I'm here to expose MoneyTec standards, simple as that. This thread has done that for years now. I'm glad you came along though, otherwise I wouldn't have had the opportunity to say what I have and trust me, I want to encourage people to visit Mtec, why else do you think I post all of those links?

So I have a purpose here Mick, even if it is of little consequence to you, but tell me now, why are you here?

  8. Well when are you going to start exactly?

With the 'evidence' you've presented so far it's hard to know whether to refute it or simply give it a round of applause for inventiveness :)

Why am I here, what, in this thread? lol, isn't it obvious, to take the piss out of you of course! I'm working on it becoming an Olympic sport but the adjudicators say it's too easy and everyone would win a medal.

Next.....but try and be a little more unique, I've already done the sour grapes bit.

  9. Damn, you got me there Mick! I'm a little blushed now! I just thought you were trying to break the world record for telling the most lies!

You know the current record holder, Joseph Goebbels, coined the term "Repeat a lie a thousand times and it becomes the truth"

By my count, you still have another 890 times to go. Maybe we should just keep that old record playing? Looks like a close race, but don't lose hope - those adjudicators wont go to waste!

  10. Lies, a trait you're very comfortable with I imagine, second nature.......let's just review what we have so far....

You say your thread was closed because it was competition but despite being asked several times you don't say of what or who.

You say Soultrader is selling something but you don't say what.

You say having identical IP's is because you flew back and forth to Belgrade but you don't give any plausible excuse why none of your IP's were UK based.

That's about the total sum of it as I remember, it pretty much fits into three paragraphs which would explain why you have a need to embellish.

As far as TeamForex goes you would probably be wise to leave that subject well alone, you don't know enough about it.

    Did I miss anything?
