I saw this in an email from IB today: How do you get market data for mutual funds in IB? In the TWS, I entered JABX for Janus Balanced and VFINX for the Vanguad 500 Index Fund, but the TWS tells me I have to subscribe to market data. When I go to account managment I don't see an option for subscribing to mutual fund data, just data from various exchanges. I'm already subscribed to the US Securities and Commodities Bundle. I would like to have access to some money market funds so that hopefully I can get some return on excess cash in my IB accounts.
According to iMoneyNet Fidelity Cash Reserves yields 0.31% and Vanguard Prime MMF yields 0.22%. Not much above the 0.00% that IB pays.
