What's the name of the indicator that tracks the total money in and out of the stock market indicator?
Are you thinking of the "Money Flow Indicator"? I never am too interested in this indicator because I don't know how they can figure out how the money flows based on stock prices.
It's a very generic calculation that would be the same as plotting a spaceshuttle's trajectory [to the moon] with a straight line. It's not really how it works.

In Lehman's terms, if the stock closes near the high of the session with increased volume, the CMF increases in value. Conversely, if the stock closes near the low of the session with increased volume, the CMF decreases in value. The chaikin money flow indicator was developed as an expansion to the On Balance Volume indicator.
Here's an indicator (updated in real-time and free) that rummages through Order Flow in the electronic futures markets. It is a little more advanced than Chaiken's and is geared towards today's electronic futures markets. It is pretty good at telling you whether the Buy or the Sell Programs are in charge...
