guess globex gaps down about 60 points. Carries on dropping another 60 points maybe? and a bounce at some point on Monday to end the day 50 points down!

Why would anyone do anything besides trade what they see? Only fools try to predict markets like this. There are so many big players and global economics going on, even if you knew what they where intending, how they work, understanding the final mix is near impossible, unless you are one of them. Next week the EU will respond, and Trump said he would double the China tariff if they "retaliate", which the just did. Stop predicting as if it somehow shows how "smart" or "savvy" you are. It just shows the opposite. Trade what you see or don't trade at all. A lot of people are simply waiting because they know it will settle down, and there WILL be great opportunities. It will be very clear when a short term bottom is in place. Just watch the ES tape and when you see 1000 contract blocks, and repeat with a few 5000 and 10,000 blocks, it will be time to go long. You won't get the maximum, but you can get a big fat center cut with a good risk level. For many, this is a good time to watch the tape in real time. Live and learn. 9/11 open, Lehman Bear Sterns, AIG defaults, desert storm, covid: They all broadcasted a bottom if you were watching. No need to predict.
Just one last reminder that if this doesn't last into the morning and it's a fake futures drop, no one will care. Yeah it's cool the futures are deep red at 6PM on a Sunday with still more than 15 hours to the actual open. Good luck to everyone.
Overnight futures are very different than traders who buy/sell stocks during regular hours. Same thing happens after earnings reports on stocks.
