@jeffalvinson ...just curious, since I swing trade ATM options. When you say "deep discounts on the option entry price ". What are you referring to ?

Big money traders, just like us small ones, want volatility. Which way doesn't matter at all.

I totally agree with you SunTrader!
Long Term Buy and Hold Investors do not want volatility. They want their 401k's and IRA's
to go up strong and smooth like these past 8-9 years.
But actual experienced traders (this is called Elite Traders isn't it? or did I accidently log into that knitting forum again!) go with the current micro trend (up or down) and want volatility so we can get improved entry points from large intra-day movement.

Actually, AnnR , that was a rounded up number [666LOL] , to be accurate+ that surprized me. NOT that DOW/DIA did that , but that it did not happen in JAN,LOL Hardly ever does DIA do better than SPY, so DIA seemed fake move up somewhat to me, OK on bull market tax cuts..... Looks like they buying QQQ again+ selling GE again. NOT a prediction, those are trend comments

I see your point Onight; Im not worried about it because DIA hardly ever does better on upside than SPY, Looks like they still buying QQQ/tech stocks + selling GE. Some female reporter on the radio explained it ''a strong lady left the market'' LOL Selling GE ,cause a strong lady left ; actually some have been selling GE since 2016 LOL-LOLNot a prediction.......
