Peizoe engages here in typical Soviet Era abuse of psychiatry to remove, to disappear, or to institutionalize political opponents.
Partisan hogwash. These "many professionals" have the same TDS that you do, and the sky is falling crap gets old real quick. The country is in no more danger now under Trump because you hate the guy than it was under Obama when Scat and other folks here would claim it was the "end of America". America is bigger than one man. And please don't quote The Atlantic as some beacon of truth.
Let me quote myself then in what is bound to be a vain attempt to explain how it is that people can be manipulated so as to remain blind to truth even when it is right in front of them. "The demagogue takes advantage of how difficult it can be to distinguish perception from truth. The goal of demagogues such as Trump is to make that distinction even more difficult by manipulating us to be more emotionally invested in the perception than in the truth. They are aided by our natural instincts, so it is easier to do this then one might suspect."
That's right. Once I become emotionally invested in a perception that has the ring of truth at least to my ears, only with difficulty will I be able to distinguish this perception from truth, assuming they are not the same. And the same will be true of yourself of course. There are clear differences among individuals, however, with regard to how easily they can be manipulated, or fall into the trap of allowing themselves to be emotionally invested in their viewpoints. This undoubtedly relates to personality and education. There are a number of good examples of this phenomenon, some involving quite famous people. But let's not get into that.
Exactly. This is especially true the more supposition there is than actual fact. Diagnosis of a psychosis is a good example of weighted supposition.
