The great and all knowing VZ... is calling Moderna a buy.

    $32

I have no clue, but they're not stupid, the covid revenue stream is dead... but they have $9.2B cash in the coffers.

Let it go lower maybe... but we'll call this one a VZ 2027 stock pick of the year.

These people aren't stupid. Case closed.

That's $9.2 with a B at the end of it.

You don't think they know Covid vaccines are dead? And you think anyone that is smart enough to come up with whatever it was that worked and helped create that $9.2B(!) is sitting there twittling their thumbs?!

    F 2027... I''m making MRNA a ©VZ 2025 top stock pick... commencing right now.

Moderna currently has $7 billion in cash & short term investments (CST) so minus that the market values them at $5 billion. According to Schwab it is suppose to lose $10/share in the next 4 quarters which equals $3.8 billion.

Since 2021 their CST is down $3.7 billion so they're using $1.23 billion per year. In the last year alone their CST has gone down $1.6 billion. At this year's rate they have 18 quarters before they go belly up. Looks to me like they need a new CFO.

Unless they have a Hail Mary coming this company will just be another failed biotech company.

I would say above $50 is a good entry since it would represent an actual higher high. The May 50 calls look good at $1.40.

I bought the IPO at around $20 so after all the noise it is 60% in 6 years. SPY is up 132%. Very sad.

The reality is they are just a one trick pony -- Covid vaccines. Sure they can just flounder around like Gilead which didn't do jack after their Hepatitis success.

They have already squandered 40% of the income made during their vaccine days. Are they really more than mRNA science? Certainly the market doesn't believe it.

Of course even SMCI which is a one trick pony has come back quite a bit so it can happen. The difference is AI still has long hardware future but the future of mRNA tech is an unknown.

Frankly you are better off buying into the genomic stocks which will get a lot more investment due to AI. ARKG just broke above a triple top. It looks good.
