Does anyone know if there is a way to simulate a market on close order for futures contracts on Interactive Brokers?
thanks... now if I just want to close any position out on close... say if i went long on a futures contract which is currently $700 and i also placed a sell limit at say $710. if I add a sell order using GAT at close... if it so happen that the price went high enough to trigger the $710 limit price.... then won't i be going short once the GAT order gets triggered? I'm guessing I have to use the OCA feature, but don't know how to use it... any suggestions?
Check TWS manual on OCA group and GAT order, then, using the TWS demo, try to combine a GAT market order and your sell limit order in one OCA group and see if it does what you're looking for..
