Just curious if anyone has any comment on whether or not the mobile broadband speeds (which avg appx 1.5down/250k up) would be fast enough to monitor/trade 30-60 min swing trades.

  2. I have 4 mobile cards, I use them all the time. I rarely use my landline. When your outdoors its amazing how well you can keep track of everything.

Oh ya, that's fast enough for your timeframe.

What kind of plan? Unlimited? Use a download/upload monitor to make sure you know how much data you will be transfering per month.

  6. 3G cellular at 1.5? Yeah, it's fast enough, but you're in dreamland if you think you'll attain those speeds.

It would be unlimited so I won't worry about data.

And for those who doubt those speeds... do some more research.

I'm never planning on leaving major cities so I think that 1.5/250 is a reasonable expectation.

Edit: So maybe 750/250 is a bit more reasonable.

Verizon Wireless will shut you down if you exceed a certain amount of bandwidth in some areas. They treat streaming charts/quotes as downloading music in certain markets.

Make sure you can break your contract/return the card within 30 days.

iv'e been using verizons 6550 card for the last month and it has been working very well. it is not nearly as fast as my landline but i cant notice any difference in my data feed when i run them side by side. price matches tick for tick.

  10. i have unlimited plans for each card.. around 60 per month.
