She probably didn´t read any news: she will receive a cheque from uncle Trump PERSONALLY. Now, this means a lot of time for reading a book, prepare for next season of Netflix movies and finally clean up the basement!
Beans, veggie broth lots of beans. Stock up. There’s plenty of tofu, cauliflower shit people don’t eat. Eat that. Peace
Nah, the bailout has been quasi confirmed to only apply to the top 20%....basically F500 campaign donors.
In fact, any such situation is a real stress that leads us to excitement, because we all aspire to welfare, no one wants to fight for life, everyone just wants to live and no matter how banal it sounds - long and happy. And this is absolutely normal, because we are afraid of any change that concerns the economy or politics, and all this leads to general discontent. But you know, let my opinion not coincide with that of the majority, I still want to say that most of it depends on us, of course we will blame others, politicians, but I prefer to take responsibility because I believe that I can change something in my life and in the lives of my loved ones. Try it, it will help you optimally so that you can relate to reality objectively.
I think that fear is one of the most important and influential tools that politicians, business people, rulers, etc. have at their disposal today. It affects everyone if you can find a pain point that can lead to the strongest and most sustainable result. And while it sounds terrible and even immoral from a human point of view, on the other hand, these methods have been around for years and all the while it remains a working tool that always leads to the desired result. We can think and talk about the consequences as much as we want, but it does not matter, fear can only be overcome with fear, and this can already cause problems.
I think we're seeing an interesting dichotomy of personal perspective. If you live in a state that's shut things down, that's obvious. If you live in rural West Virginia, a state that just yesterday confirmed their first case (because if you don't test for it you won't find it!), then you're probably thinking 20% unemployment is crazy. Or I guess depending where you are in WV maybe, just situation normal.
If there's one thing I've seen that is surprising is people are actively policing grocery stores themselves. Shaming people hording supplies, and making sure everyone gets something. People have been incredibly polite (to me, at least) despite the level of panic you can see on everyone's faces. It remains to be seen what happens on April 1st when food stamps come in and the unemployment system becomes overloaded - but for now good humans are doing what good humans do. It's almost touching.
