Bad form probably. I blame the markets, when they're closed I get into all sorts of mischief, no restraint see I'd make a lousy trader....
Allow doug to put your mind at rest CT. After he selects you from one of the more than 400 applications you have submitted to him, you are off to Patty school at doug's expense. Kalifornia should be lovely at this time of year. regards f9 ps. Just a thought, but I wonder if Patty knows of doug's existence.
Good heavens, what did I say. I do hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag. If so then I need to stuff him back in quickly before other ETers cotton on. regards f9
ROFLMAO. Doug is ET's new whipping boy I congratulate Doug for this presitgious award. You are now among the rank's of the following notable and previous ET recipients of this award: Jack Hershey Allen Hobbs Anekdoten Alex from Puretick Did I miss anyone? Congratulations Doug for a job well done....
you missed the point i was trying to make. the point was that hedge managers want to have a professional appearance and would have some sort of real office space so they can meet traders, investors, etc...heck i can rent a small office in my town in a executive suite office where they give you furniture, computer, use of conference room, secretary, etc.. for like 450/mo. operator btw, the postal service views using the term "suite" in your mailing address as fraud if it's really a PO box. it can be either box # 123 or just #123. if you get a nice letter from them, don't be surprised....
Doug, I honestly do not know if you're legitimate or not, but if you are, you are on the wrong forum. You should consider giving TradersLaboratory.com or MyPivots.com a try. I'm sure they'll be no less skeptical, but certainly more mature and professional. ET is notorious for this and isn't taken seriously by most. Even knowing this, I, after having glanced at your other thread, simply couldn't believe the level of immaturity this site has stooped to. These are bitter, bitter people which is probably the result of many years of failure. Surely, if you are a professional, you are put off by these people (with the exception of very few). Why are you wasting your time here?
yes it's very simple, just post a bank statement of the money that you have planned to allocate to traders.
<i>"I'm the one looking for a trader... I came here with money to invest looking for traders."</i> Well, here we are. You found us. When would you like to actually get started? I would imagine that funds sitting idle suffer some type of opportunity cost. Markets are setting up for a mid-term lasting bottom / double bottom sequence event and will rally strong for some period of time following that. Would you like your money to participate in this pending event? Doug, you now have 90+ posts and literally 1,000s of words collectively inside them. That took awhile to think, compose, type and send. If you want to be efficient with your time as a professional, I'd respectfully suggest you stop posting right now and start the personal contact - interview process. You met your self-assigned cutoff quota of applicants. There is no need to banter with naysayers here in this forum any longer... mission accomplished. No need to feed the aweber automailer, because you've gathered the masses sought. One more post here is nothing but a waste of time and errant rabbit trail for you. If managed money is what you seek, it's nigh time to begin. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149597&perpage=6&pagenumber=112 Markets are challenging right now, but opportunity exists. If we had $100k of yours at work and were turning 5-lot ES contracts yesterday, the cumulative result would have been +3% return on account. A couple less twists and turns in the tape might have seen +6% to +10% returns. Some days will win, some will lose. That's trading. Overall I think we can push forward to significant gains by year's end. But before that happens, you must quit phase one which was posting here and shift into phase two: your selective process. We enjoyed your time in ET, thank you for the participation. We all understand that a professional money manager no longer has time to be here with wasted words. Those of us sensible enough to accept your offer will see you in phase two. Looking forward to it
