MJ, the greatest ever....

  1. I like TMAC, Duncan, KG, Iverson and a few others. On the whole, there are few that could have played with the teams of the past, even with their current skill levels being higher.

    Kobe shoots how many times, and makes a basket how many times? What is his turnover to assist ratio?

    It is difficult to compare times, but one truth is that few are driven to be the best once they have millions in the bank and a possee.

    Kobe has skills, no doubt, but until his turnover to assist ratio and shooting percentage come up to the level of past hall of famers, until he proves his worth as the MVP of his own team, I give him less credit than most.

  2. Optional...He's 23!!!! When Jordan was 23 he was a rookie or a 2nd year player with a broken foot....also, I think KOBE resmebles Jordan more and more becuase of his drive....he is a competitor...he could easily slack off, drive his hummer and collect his cash...but he worls endlessly each offseason to get better...In fact, one of the criticisms many teamates have of Kobe is that he doens;t go out and socialize with them....he works outafter games and watches tap in his room....Tracy Mcgrady is the same way.....these guys are setting a standard of work ehtics for future players that hopefully LeBron will follow. Just remember , for every 80's star you nameds there is.....Benoit benjamin, Chris Washburn, Yinka dare, Chuck person, walter berry, ect....

  5. You are right, stats don't tell all.

    Here is a stat:

    Magic=Five Championship Rings (Six if you include college)
    Kidd=Zero Championship Rings

  9. You are 12.....You have to understand that part of greatness comes from longevity.....certainly, Terrell Davis was great back for three years, but injuries cut his career, does that mean because of three years, he is now the best ever? TD is a great player but Jerry Rice is the king.....In fact, im not sure if TD is the best in the game today.....I would take Randy moss over him for the simple reason that Moss changes the face of the game...Corners get deeper, safeties start cheating over and next thing you know you have one man taking three or four guys with him...TD doesn't command that right now.
