Here's how I think it probably goes for many:

    1. You overtrade.

    2. You go thru fear, anger, frustration.

    3. You undertrade.

    4. Finally, you get it.

  5. Not realizing sooner that the person who creates the strategy and the person who executes the strategy are not one in the same.

  6. Following the same losing strategy is one of the dumbest mistakes made by a trader.

After 30 years of trading, it is finally easy, but back then....

I need a new broker. This one is horrible with my fills.
    Man, I am sooo close

"This is supposed to go down, backtesting last week, it ALWAYS went down, WTF", Ok, not going to take a loss, move my protective stop, damn, price getting near my stop, ah hell, stops are for wimps, just going to cancel that sucker out, only fools uses stops, Margin call-what the hell is that?, didn't know wiring money cost that much, I am making a stand, it can't go up any higher !!! WTF, limit up? What happened to free enterprise, how the hell can something go limit up five days in a row? Six? where are my flipping Tums, sevennnn-I hate brokers-damn phone is ringing again-well take me out of the F*ucking market !!!
eight days-hmmm this is almost funny except I owe twice of what my house costs, nine-What the hell-they could't get me out-it traded, Finally I am out, yep got out on high of the move, I knew it would go down. Dreaded phone call to Uncle, can you loan me $103k-six long years to pay back.....

I was so lazy in the beginning, why spend $2000 on back data to test when a weeks worth should be good enough, LOL

Everything I learned in my first year is all I needed for entries, this would have saved me at least 100k of books, videos, seminars etc

Why do I need money management, winning trades take care of themselves?

Breakeven stop? Get out of a trade that will ultimately go my way anyway?

I need a new broker. This one is horrible with my fills.
Man, I am sooo close I can taste it, beach here I come.

I should have asked first to see brokerage statements from those selling me their methods.

What do you mean by new contract highs? That wasn't in my short back testing !!!

I need a new broker. This one is horrible with my fills.
Man, I am sooo close, hmmm, wondering if I should have just gotten extra job at McDonalds for what this is costing me already.

What do you mean I have to pay dividends cause I sold short?

I can't seem to get the hang of trading corn-it moves so slow, coffee looks interesting. Broker says I should use options to hedge my futures position, what does he know, he is a salesman.
What do you mean you are giving me both entry and exit fills at same time-I just placed order ten minutes ago? You know I am supposed to be filled at stop price and not $400 bucks past my stop.

    Man, I am sooo close

SOB, "they" hit my stops on the high of the week and now it is $6k, I could'a stopped using stops, they are only for wimps, and besides I paid my Uncle off....

Ok, now I am learning computer code for backtesting, a year's worth SHOULD be enough. I am going with the system that produces highest profits, so what it has many losses, ahhh, I will be sitting on the beach yet.

What??? I didn't cancel what? No, I don't want 25,000 bushel of wheat, How much is this going to cost me? A flipping car?

I need a new broker. This one is horrible with my fills.
Man, I am sooo close, any day now, sipping pina coladas, the good life.

Hmmm stocks were so much easier to trade, why in God's name did I go into futures? I better get that data and take a year to backtest, hmmm, what an idiot I have been.
