@piezoe There is "original" jurisdiction and "appellate" jurisdiction with respect to the SC. The exception clause you cite only applies to appellate jurisdiction. When a State is a party, the SC has original jurisdiction. Therefore, a case brought against a State, cannot be prevented by Congressional legislation. Short of an amendment, the abortion issue will always be subject to SC review, unless Congress makes the exceptions you speak of AND the abortions are performed by the Federal Government, on Federal property.
On top of that...if you are reading the constitution litterally...as piezoe suggests ..per the 10th amendment abortion laws (and many other issues)should be left to the states. That could reverse a few generations of rulings which concentrated power in the Federal Govt. Which is the opposite of piezoe's ( soros's like) political goals.
What Biden will be forced to do, if he actually cares about the issue is it will need to subsidize transportation of these women out of state under federal protection and/or federalize abortion clinics in Texas to undergo procedures under federal supervision/jurisdiction.
Anonymous takes on Texas... will destroy the data of any Texas abortion online bounty reporting website.
Lol South Dakota the woman who invited Covid into her state with open arms and eventually had to ship Covid patients out of state to deal with it. What kind of education system produces these morons and how stupid are the people who elect them ?
