Good question, don't know the answer. But sure as shooting, after they bought the snake oil, fearful of admitting they had been taken for a fool, their favorite phrase became "stay the course." Some people will do anything rather than admit they made a mistake. This is what is so ridiculous to me, that the same people who promoted Bush, who promoted McCain, who now promote Jindal and Palin, refuse to re-evaluate their own thinking processes to discover the flaw.
