Tensions on the Korean peninsula remain in a heightened state amid new reports that North Korea has prepared missiles for launch, while South Korea has deployed naval destroyers to its coasts.

A U.S. official with direct knowledge of the information told CNN on Thursday that up to two missiles and launch components had been moved to the East coast of North Korea in the "last few days." Yonhap said the missiles have been hidden in an unidentified facility. In response, South Korea has sent Aegis destroyers equipped with advanced radar systems to both of its coasts, Yonhap said, citing navy sources.

All government embassies have been instructed to evacuate staff from Pyongyang after dictator Kim Jong-un warned he could not 'guarantee the safety of foreigners.' The rogue communist state issued a deadline of April 10 to every government that is represented in North Korea in a dramatic new escalation of the nuclear crisis. As tensions escalate in the region, Pyongyang released footage of Kim Jong-un joining in with some target practice during a military drill. The Communist leader was seen brandishing a gun and looking at shots on a human-sized target mark as well as using his binoculars.

Russia's foreign minister says Moscow doesn't understand why North Korea has suggested that Moscow and other countries close their embassies in Pyongyang, and he says he's concerned about the high tensions on the Korean peninsula.

'We are very perturbed about the supercharged tensions, which for now are verbal. We want to understand the causes of this proposal,' Lavrov said, according to the Russian state news agency RIA-Novosti. A spokesman for the British Foreign Office said the Pyongyang regime had responsibilities to protect embassies under international conventions and claimed the latest move was 'part of their continuing rhetoric' that the United States poses a threat.

Watch out!! Little Kim's got a pistol.

While this plays out and takes front stage, we should destroy the Iranian nuclear sites. Short of that, we should cut off the head of the snake.

So this deadline of April 10th, what is it holding out for officially?

U.S. surrender. I guess we should all hold our breath until next Wednesday and see what Little Kim is going to do.

I suspect he is going to fire one of his missiles out to sea. If the early trajectory looks like it might be an attack, it is going to be shot down. Then what?

  7. Pat Buchanan, no fan of foreign adventures, made a very good point. This guy, barring a coup, will likely be in charge there for the next 20 or 30 years. Their nuclear arsenal will become larger and more sophisticated. So will their missiles. They already have orbited a satellite, which is more than a lot of countries can say. It's not a huge leap from orbiting a satellite to dropping a nuke on us.

Buchanan's point was that this might be a case for preemptive action. It's hard to see things getting more favorable in the future.

But wait! Obama thinks there is another decade or two available for dialog to talk them out of eventually making thermonuclear bombs that are small enough to fit on top of their missiles. That will work. Right?

And surely they don't mean it when they say they are going to restart that reactor that gave them all the fissile material for the bombs. We've got a deal with them. Bill Clinton and Bush signed those deals!

I bet he watches dora the explorer, and thinks it's real shit.

But again, why not shake down America? We're "led" by the most spineless piece of shit that's ever been in power here. Not to mention, a Nazi who every other country's leaders know, hates the very Country he's "leading." Can you say we're screwed up worse than a soup sandwich?

A well placed .308 round would do the trick. And if a .50 cal was used, and he was blown into two pieces right in front of his sheep, I fu*king guarantee you, that would get the sheep of NK's attention! Just where ol' where is Ronald Reagan when we so desperately need him?:(
