Mini Apocalypse 2012 flash crash in the ES

Anyone see that? I see a low point of 1391.25 then it bounced to 1414.63 now.

I cannot find a real print down to 1391.25 though.

 

yupp - fiscal cliff - boehner scrapped vote on plan b. no vote until after xmas. iqfeed showing 1391.25 low

 

I saw -41 on my screen, but then it popped back to -31 and -28 faster than i could see.

 

Seems like it got shrugged off.

 

So do you wear pants too or just shorts?

 

did it go limit down?

 

I believe the overnight limit is 70 handles. It looks like it got as low as 49.25. :eek: :eek: :eek:

 

or is that only the day session?

 

Pity I was sleeping back then... such a great move in NQ too...

 

it's easy for a 1% move to turn into a 2 or 3% move in the overnight session b/c there is so much less liquidity. ES quickly recovered. although if you were stopped out and got hit by 10 points of slippage that's cold comfort.
