You only know what you've cleaned off me lol. Anyway, that's a total waste... Giving up large dividends for hopium. Any swing you make is not going to outperform just collecting the dividends or premium...and that's if your swing happens in a timely manner.... Otherwise It's an inefficient use of capital.
The professional Technical Analysis associations don't give your Elliot Wave and Fibs much credibility, and rightly so. The professional Financial Planning associations don't give your Buy n Hold slow moving Dividend Stocks cycle round much credibility, and rightly so. Real Traders don't give most of your crap much credibility.
sml is following a pit traders mentality - he is hyper scalping to understand and experience it all. you have to burn some money to get into anything in life no matter what business. so the thought process is get it over with and start ramping up the contracts as fast as you can. everyone has setbacks but without experimentation with real money it's hard to grasp what it takes to make big money fast. this is totally opposite from a investor who places trades safely to guard his money, no a scalper has to use money as bait to fish for whales. knowing that bait is is not coming back, but what you get in return is a chance to shoot a harpoon.
You still haven't shared any numbers LOL... Have you ever posted a trade? Sounds like you got suckered by some get rich quick scheme.
But it does lower your ACB. The other thing I noticed was that the divy has been decreasing each month.
If you're DRIPing at higher prices, you’ll get fewer new shares, increasing ABC, but your total income remains surprisingly stable. And honestly, unless you're planning to sell… who cares? The compounding keeps working. As expected the dividend has been declining — during a downtrend or sideways market. If anything, that’s a great stress test.
