Mindset for a Trading system Engineer

I've applied for Optiver as a Trading System Engineer.
What is the mindset required to succeed in this role ?
Is it technical acumen or is it trading business knowledge ?
What should I expect in this kind of a role ? What do you think
will be my day-to-day activities ?
