  5. Isn't the key found in the balancing of attachment and detachment? Having the single-mindedness to get things done, but the open-mindedness to admit that you could do them better?

    Attachment is a prerequisite for learning -- fixing a pattern in one's mind. But detachment is a prerequisite for continued learning -- flowing to new and better patterns. Its like the properties of a Class IV cellular automata -- creating arbitrarily sophisticated behavior through a slush of frozen (attached) and liquid (detached) zones.

  10. Rogue made my day! Once the secret is out, we'll have to discuss why the markets may be more like the "mind reader" that many people realize. As a practical joke, this one turned out to be extremely practical.
