    Sorry, I missed your post.
Certainly, I agree with you - all type of charlatans has to be prevented from exploits of desperates.
I am hoping in a happy transition from two separate medical world into one holistic, all-inclusive. Where conshioys will prevail over profit, where ancient wisdom will melt with most fern science acco.plishments.
To answer your question - for me the connection is obvious. But I am moving from mystic prospective and quantum physics is simply prove what others claim as miracles - it is frequency of our thoughts, our surroundings, our friends and those who think to be our enemies, this frequencies are creating special fields around us. We may not be aware, not have a gift line Ann, who somehow connected to the right flow but what modern science is do - trying to create devices which will bring an individual to the higher potential of his/her Higher Self, even if one have lived tillbtgen in obscurity, without any spiritual practices. Is it good? Are we about to build new Babilon tower, for the spirit thus time? I don't know, but inside I feel good about that and very curious to see how beautifully it will develop.

Today's reality is that our planet and all of us base entered in such a new demension that we can transform and enjoy every moment of our lives by fulfilling it with personal growth. We need no to build pyramids, many of us getting to understand , feel and develop this power from within. And it is giving joy, smile, the desire to dance and sing, no matter what is occurring on daily life.

  3. TedX means external, locally organised speakers so there is no rigorous vetting. The reason I have accomplished a fair bit (but others WAY more) is I am very reality bound.

She is a sociopath / delusional and should be in prison for fraud in a better world it seems to me.

Set to play. No mention of the reason she was in a coma in the first place (refused treatment?) and while she for a moment mentions the doctors draining her lungs, she omits the chemo treatments? That is out and out deception. If she were not selling a book and making speaker money I'd be kinder.

I'm sorry but no, she is just a scammer and I won't change my mind. Seen too much of this garbage. It all contributes to a sick industry that seeks to help drain the bank accounts of dying people.

The sad thing is there are many things that can help but they are drowned in the information pollution created by people like her.

Alternative medicine may help someone cope with the stress of a cancer diagnosis and meditation etc is beneficial of course. The reality is that not call cancers are equal and Hodgkin's is one of the rare ones that can be cured at stage 4. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/hodgkin-lymphoma/detection-diagnosis-staging/survival-rates.html

The one-year survival rate for all patients diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma is about 92 percent. The five-year survival rate is about 86 percent. For people with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, the survival rate is lower. But even in stage 4 you can beat the disease. https://www.healthline.com/health/lymphoma/stage-iv

How many likes, for what reason? To put in jail the cancer survivor, the coma returning? Is it how average gentlemen looks in 2018, ready and happy to through the first stone? Sad...
Returning to Anna, certainly, your knowledge about cancer is deep and scientific based.
Still, what is the reason to eventually persecute her? Does she say to not use chemotherapy? Does she collect payment from cancer patients? What did you found to be harmful in her message and danger to the public? Yes, she maybe omitting chemotherapy use, but from her perspective, it looks irrelevant because chemo was just a little drop in the ocean of energy which saved her. And as you certainly know there is a big discussion now about the chemotherapy.
In my experience, I find Anna out of mourning for my lost friend..serching on web cancer and death... she helped, absolutely free through her free email list ad speeches, me to couple with my grief of losing my dearest friend from cancer, she had not yet a child, not even real love.. just gone.. and it is good to hear Anna's message about the Light on another side of existence, the same I experienced in my NDE. She is speaking about treasury of having this life and finding own purpose, what is wrong with that?
It is one year I am her subscriber and at the difference with many spiritual scammers, where I certainly agree with you that this is not acceptable speculations, Anna never tried to sell anything. This is my experience.

  6. THe term "con artist" comes from confidence. https://www.quora.com/Where-does-the-term-con-man-artist-come-from

    https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/01/can-you-spot-a-liar/423588/

"Konnikova: Emotional vulnerability is one of the things that unites victims of cons, in the sense that it’s not so much a personality trait, as where you are in your life. Because what happens when you’re down, when you’re vulnerable, there’s change going on, and your world no longer makes sense the way that it used to, so you’re particularly vulnerable to people who make sense of it for you. You want that meaning. You want that sense of connection and con artists are very happy to supply it for you. One of the things that I found really interesting is that it transfers across domains. So, for instance, if you lose your job, you’re not just more vulnerable to finance frauds, you’re more vulnerable to romance frauds, you’re more vulnerable to every single thing even if it has nothing to do with money, just because you’re in an emotionally susceptible position.

Khazan: One thing I found surprising was that cons are underreported. Why is that?

Konnikova: Part of it is that people really value their reputations, so they don’t want others to know that they fell victim. The other thing is that they value their reputation so much is that they don’t want themselves to know. They would much rather believe that they were the victims of bad luck than that they were victims of a con artist. Our self-deception is incredibly powerful, because we have this very strong protective mechanism where we want to think of ourselves in the best possible light. No one wants to think of themselves as a sucker or as someone who falls for some con artist, who to someone else might seem obvious.

You want to think of yourself as someone who’s smart, as someone who’s savvy, as someone who would know better, and so that’s exactly what you do, you say, “Oh, bad luck, luck of the draw, it was just a bad investment decision or this person just wasn’t ready for a serious relationship,” whatever it is. So the funny thing is, most people don’t learn from their mistakes because they don’t acknowledge that they made them. One thing that I learned while I was researching the book, which I had no idea existed, was that there are sucker lists out there that con artists buy and sell of people who’ve already fallen for a scam. Those are the best victims, the ones who have already been victimized once, because they’ve done such a good job rationalizing that they’ll do it again.

Khazan: That’s sad, because that means it's more likely to happen to those people over and over again.

    Italics added.

I have no issues with someone talking about NDEs and such. I very much have issues with a story that starts with deception be it an honest mistake or involuntarily delusional.

When people hear the term 'cancer' many don't have the knowledge to differentiate between the different kinds under that umbrella term.

AGAIN, she had Hodgekin's disease/lymphoma. Big deal relatively speaking, it is among the very easiest cancers to treat. It will confuse and fool others (lung/pancreatic) into making bad choices they and their families will regret.

Why she went untreated until stage 4 is a mystery but she survived because of chemo. Someone with a different cancer would not.

She is making money from this through books, courses and speaking fees, donations... Giving some away for free is all just a part of building the "confidence" in the victim.

There is a beautiful world full of wonder and joy. I love this life, I care for my loved ones, I'm no 'Grinch' really. But I do reject charismatic self-profiting liars as they have caused harm to many I know.

This lady again has some wise words from her own experience investigating people who start a lovely story with a lie. We simply can't block them all however that does not mean we stop trying.

    https://www.theguardian.com/books/2...iew-new-book-the-confidence-game-review-scams

"Konnikova says she became extremely cynical while working on The Confidence Game. She was confronted over and over again by people who would readily take advantage of others when given the chance. Eventually, she had to force herself to remember that she really was operating among very specific company. The majority of people, she reminded herself, still don’t get conned.

“I really had to go back and remind myself that trusting makes society function on an individual level related to health and on a social level related to economic growth and development,” Konnikova said. “So I said, ‘you know what? trust is good, even if that means that one day I’m going to be conned, so be it. I will give myself permission to be a victim.’”

Dear Slartibartfast, while I was preparing and meditating on how is a better reply to your last post ref. Anna, con artists etc, look what happened! I was able to identify Nazi- propagandist right here, on ET https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...miles-away-is-not.321919/page-10#post-4673126.
He believes all of us ignorant, quoting Goebbels and admitting that the Bahamas is full of Nazi.
It is not me to go away, it is many traders should come to live here and cath away those hidden criminals, who are devastating this country.

  8. Your just libeled him calling him a "Nazi propagandist" because your English is too bad to understand his (now deleted) post. He is an intelligent & honest man.

You should not jump to another thread to attack someone (with the exception of the politics threads perhaps).

If you are implying that because you are Jewish there is a conspiracy against you by Bahamas Nazis.. and everyone who disagrees is ALSO a Nazi.. then I would meditate a lot more.

There is a Jewish community there. I understand there are many kinds of Jewish people however it would be best to speak to the locals. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/bahamas-virtual-jewish-history-tour

Thank you for your expertise. But with any kind of English, I can not tolerate that anyone quoting Nazis on the website or make Holocaust denial allegations, which he promptly liked and sustained.

I did not start this type of allegations - he started, he came to the thread, which I launched in correct Forum, I believe
Florida is a mecca for traders, why taxfree Bahamas (50 miles away) is not?
And started to insult and like denials comments.
I don't think that our story is nazi complot, but that certain people here in this country would be more than happy to shut done entrance for any educated foreigners and keep locals in poverty and crime, this is true.
I am not accusing everyone of being the nazi, just if they don't understand what happening with UBS.
I am glad it is all deleted now.
