  3. I missed a whole slew in the middle there. It is as if I am unsubscribed from my own thread.

Money yes, however I am in the middle of a lot of restoration and it is not expensive (Colombia is crazy cheap for good dentistry) but kind hurts..

To answer FF about fruit, I don't eat enough. I was chomping a lot of seedless grapes in Ireland on my holidays (on my porridge) but they don't have them in Colombia or blueberries. That probably did help me feel better there.

For not I'm going for the one thing I do prefer when in Panama.. Greek food. Suvlas restaurant is nice, soon in Colombia I hope.

  4. A lot of what they say is true enough though I am not the type to sit cross legged wearing a silk gown :)

Beyond just the physical body health, the mind I believe needs a lot of exercise. My mother used to play bridge, did a lot of voluntary admin work for arts groups. My dad worked very hard often doing exacting statistical work and was at the golf course when not working.

I like relatively/very short term trading and on a lot of instruments in parallel. Keeping a lot of "balls in the air" not because it is the best way to trade but because it exercises my mind the best. Something I was severely lacking in my old consultant life where I was working hard & long hours but not truly exercising my mind.

It was only with trading did I begin to understand why some guys (way smarter) like say Warren Buffet had TERRIBLE diets, packing in calories. http://www.businessinsider.com/eating-like-billionaire-warren-buffett-diet-2017-10

If you are really working your mind it devours fatty foods and sugar and I have experienced that. It is amazing but I'm not Warren Buffet, I can only boom and bust what his physiology can talk consistently. I think that is a lesson, being smart enough helps however the top guys perhaps have a super-human liver etc. which works in tandem with talent.

  7. I never see wildlife there except for the odd pet iguanas on lawns. Nearly everything gets trafficked or just wiped out by natural resource exploiting corporations I expect. The Colombians are getting sick of it but lets face it they have had other problems until relatively recently.

25% of the World's entire biodiversity in Colombia they say but best I can tell mostly plants. This is a plant paradise more than anywhere I've seen. Everything just grows.

  8. Some people have trouble digesting cruciferous vegetables, causing them unpleasantness. I am one of those people.

  9. "Energy medicine?" Sounds a bit woo-woo. I hope there are some valid underpinnings for the fairly extraordinary claims.

  10. You're a better man than I am. Very short term, I start running into trouble with more than one instrument. Like trying to catch butterflies going in different directions. But I keep trying now and again and find myself getting spanked either because I took trades I didn't assess properly in the small window of time available or because I missed an opportunity in one while focusing on another. Longer than very short term is doable for me but, unfortunately, it is the very short term that gives me the best reliability, which is something I value.
