There was an interesting documentary on TV here recently about Colombia etc. Three guys were trying to find Escobar's millions which he stashed all over the place. They visited his hideaway in the jungle etc. but the treasure hunters had obviously already visited. There were holes in the walls and floor. There are lots of other interesting hoards. From pirate treasure in the Caribbean to Nazi loot etc. Like Oak Island in Nova Scotia, it is the interesting history and adventure that is fun.
Yes, it is out off the topic of this thread, but maybe our Slartibartfast, recalling his experience in Africa, can find himself interested to become a new nazi-hunter? I am sure they are pretty much behind the cruelty performed upon us during this legal battle. And here there is more about - Nazi who laid out the vision for the modern Bahamas 1962 [ https://bahamianology.com/stafford-...bahamas/?subscribe=error#blog_subscription-9].
Interesting true story of Nazis in the Bahamas but I was thinking more of Reichsbank gold that mysteriously disappeared at the end of the war in Bavaria. The Bahamas hosted many pirates and perhaps there are hoards there. Could be worth a look.
Yes, it is long time I am thinking about. And all the stollen by nazi capitals? The crumbles paid by Swiss banksters to Holocaust surviviours was really a drop in the ocean. Three floors of documents in UN siggled and never released. The certain big corporations culture. Ther BMW owned by nazi inheritances, there is so much more to think and investigate and hopefully make it public.
Living in Colombia as a foreigner I don't really pay much attention to Escobar or watch the various series. In Narcos I understand they could not even get a Colombian to play him as he is to the majority a demi-Hitler figure. However I was perusing Google maps recently and spotted his tomb. It is just hundreds of yards from my GF's apartment! We have a good clear view of it (binoculars) from our new built place. She did not even know he was there and she is Colombian, that is how much they want to forget I guess. Ever since I watched Breaking Bad I wanted to dig up barrels of cash I may sneak down some night with a shovel...
