The difference between a millionaire and a billionaire can be calculated in seconds of a day. A million seconds is 11 and a half days. A billion seconds is 31.7 years. You are the MAN Mr. Gates.
Not only that. Bill Gates has $45 BILLION! By your same math/analogy, it would be 1,426.5years!! At one point during the bubble's peak, he was worth $90B. That's over 2853years!! That means if you spent $1/second of Bill Gates wealth it would last you from before 800 years before Christ until now! Crazy. Like the wealth of entire civilization's history. Now, that's DA MAN! hehe
That is not counting the interest he makes daily, which is in the MILLIONS. It has been noticed by the government and others that Microsoft is set up as one huge tax shelter. If I could set myself up the same way, I would have A LOT more money too! nitro
Anyone catch that CNBC interview last night? Neil Cavuto asked Oracle CEO Ellison what impact, if any, it's having since his net worth has dropped from $23 billion to only $16 billion during the past year. Ellison replied "I'm eating out a lot less." He followed up with "I'm a man of modest means. I can get by with only a few billion." LOL -Eric
How do you come to the conclusion that MSFT is a tax shelter? Last year MSFT paid $3.7B in taxes on $11.5B in pre-tax income. That's a lousy tax shelter.
I recall seeing his house a few years ago and it certainly was anything but "modest". Quite the opposite I believe. Poor guy ... probably having to eat at McDonalds, Burger King and Jack In the Box ...
Two years ago I asked an artist to draw this picture for my former site <IMG SRC=http://harrytrader.membres.jexiste.org/images/bill_and_ellison_love_each_other.gif>
