Bogus argument - name another adult mammal that consumes [cooked food, potatos (can't eat them raw), wine/beer, pate fois gras, or...]. Most of our diet is things no other mammals eat - cause they can't. And by the way - if I give my adult dog or cat milk, dairy, cheese, butter or yogurt - yep, they sure enough eat it.
Cats and dogs should be given what they have been eating for millions of years...Raw bloody meat. Unfortunately, we fucked them up by forcing "human food" down their gullets over the domestication process. GRAINS? Seriously, how has that worked out? And notice that even to this day, dogs and cats still eat grass when they feel the need to, to help give them roughage? So what the hell is rice and peas doing to help our pets? They need, and want, raw bloody meat. We should give them what they have been eating in the wild forever. Meat and grass. They'll figure it out themselves. They are carnivores, man. What they crave.
Potatos are eaten by a bunch of animals in the wild. Hogs for sure. Animals also get drunk on fermented fruits, google it. If a carcass gets burnt a bit it still gets eaten in the wild. But hey against your argument we have vegetarians or non-drinkers. The point is, just because something can be eaten it doesn't mean it should be, including meat, wine or sushi... Again, most (meaning more than 50%) of the adult humans are lactose intolerant. Nature is literally telling us that milk is not intended for consumption. Argue against that... "The exact number of adults with lactose intolerance is unknown. One estimate puts the average at 65% of the global population. Rates of lactose intolerance vary between regions, from less than 10% in Northern Europe to as high as 95% in parts of Asia and Africa." And an interesting correlation: Do Dairy Products Cause Osteoporosis? People who are suspicious of milk's role in bone health like to point out that the countries with the highest consumption of dairy products also have the highest incidence of osteoporosis. Is this convincing proof that dairy products cause osteoporosis? Not even remotely. Milk might not causing it, but for sure it doesn't help with osteoporosis as the diary industry would like us to believe...
Europeans evolved to consume milk into adulthood (that's no joke, we're actually mutants). I don't know what's wrong with millennials, milk is delicious and $1.60/gallon
Areas with inhospitable weather the only form of farming is animal husbandry thus those people consume more milk eg in Central Asian Turkic states even their alcohol is made from milk (mare’s), it’s called Kimiz/ Kumis.
