This is factually incorrect...Officers and rank in file voted for Trump in 2016. He wasn't much of a threat to Democracy in 2016. Things changed dramatically by 2018 - 2020 when his disrespect of the United States Armed Forces became obvious. Officers and Rank n file flipped over to Biden via the statistics and graphs I've posted earlier in a past thread a few months ago here at ET. Essentially, Trump dominated Hillary Clinton via the military vote... Trump got burnt by us when we heavily favour Biden here in 2020. Trump then called us...Suckers and Losers along with not holding Putin accountable for the bounty on the heads of our troops. We then decided to hold him accountable (Georgia...a strategic military stronghold in the United States) although I thought we would flip both North Carolina and Georgia. Not sure what went wrong in North Carolina. It wasn't just the active duty...it occur also with inactive duty (national guard, reserves), veterans and American Citizens (many have served or military families) living abroad...we are a ton of absentee votes. Yet, we did get Pennsylvania and Georgia...military strongholds. P.S. We'll take Florida the next time around...more American Citizens now making their home in Canada have been buying 2nd homes in Florida. Thus, some of those American Citizens that cast their absentee ballot in another state will be switching their home state to casting their absentee ballot in Florida as a snowbird. P.S.S. A Treaty of Alliance followed in 1778, which led to French shipments of money and matériel to the United States of America. ... France's help was a major and decisive contribution towards the United States' eventual victory and independence in the war. Remember - Trudeau (Canada) and Macron (France) laughing at Trump. Trump became too much of a joke / threat to people that have a history of being very good at defending America from behind the scenes. Simply, Trump pssst off America's allies that shed blood and died at its side. P.S.S.S. Watch the inauguration of Biden next January...watch to see the dignitaries from other countries that will attend...the after party. wrbtrader
Well what do you guys think it was calling service men and women suckers and losers, or letting Putin get away with putting bounties on America’s soldiers? My guess is probably both.
I know it well...Season 5 involving the recount in Nevada. https://www.vox.com/culture/21551121/veep-recount-nevada-mother-trump “Stop the count” vs. “Count Every Vote”: The post-election protests around the country, explained https://www.vox.com/2020/11/5/21550909/protests-trump-biden-maricopa-detroit-philadelphia wrbtrader
How Veep foretold 2020 election recount protests Count votes? Halt vote counting? Veep got there five years ago. By Alissa Wilkinson@alissamarie Nov 5, 2020, 1:40pm EST Share this story Share this on Facebook Share this on Twitter Share All sharing options Reality imitates Veep once again. HBO With President Trump and his supporters alternately calling for more vote counting and a halt to vote counting, depending on where they are in the country, life once again imitates art — and by art, I mean Veep. And, of course, Veep fans noticed. THIS IS LITERALLY AN EPISODE OF VEEP https://t.co/TkNdIRCxo9 pic.twitter.com/n5BpNwsuiZ _______________________________ Remember how Jonah was a super-spreader of chickenpox as he traveled all over the country? And then the Chinese crashed the polling places in black areas of S. Carolina. There's a couple more.
In a case of life imitating art, an episode of Veep has predicted some of the chaos of the 2020 election, in particular, the protesters at the count centers. A number of Twitter users have pointed out that an episode of the satirical political comedy starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus directly mirrors what is happening in the news right now as the election results hang in the balance. The episode in question comes from the show's fifth season and it first aired back in 2016. Titled "Nev-AD-a" the episode follows campaign staffers in Carson City, Nevada, hoping a recount will go statewide in an effort to win Louis-Dreyfus' character Selina the presidency. The fictional presidential candidate has won the popular vote but needs Nevada's electoral votes and so demands a recount in the belief it will help her swing the election. Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer on HBO's "Veep." Bill Gray / HBO The following two episodes follow protesters planted by Selina's team who chant "count every vote" or "stop counting the votes" depending on the latest information and what will help their campaign at the time. When Selina finds out that absentee military ballots will crush her chances of winning, she orders her team to stop the recount: "You're going to cancel this recount like Anne Frank's Bat mitzvah," she screams. "I'm tired of losing things!" Back in the real world in 2020, Trump supporters have been chanting "count the votes" in Arizona while demanding "stop the count" in Michigan. The uncanny similarities between the TV show and the real election coverage happening before our eyes has sparked a conversation on Twitter as people try to comprehend how a silly political satire has become real life. One of these people is Veep showrunner David Mandel who tweeted: "Life imitates art and then beats the s*** out of it with a crowbar. #veep."
