Midnight rally

  1. Weak earnings, weak jobs report...when the indexes rally on bad news its a strong signal to buy the dips.

Folks if your not buying the cash close and selling the cash open, your missing out on the easiest money to be made.

  3. Just another gap up on the open for stock indexes. Same thing over and over and over. This is the most profitable pattern in stock indexes.

  4. Don't waste your time trying to capture tiny gains after the cash open. By 10am cst, the markets are done. It's then sideways for 5 hours. Its just not worth it trying to capture a few ticks.

BUY THE CASH CLOSE SELL THE CASH OPEN $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  5. I'm going to start posting here daily....to show you, folks, how easy this is. I've been doing it for years. It will not work every time. So use risk management always. Got in late today. Will hold over the weekend.

    Long 3 @ 13,109.75.....late enrty.

Why use risk management if it is risk free?

  8. Should be interesting.

However, you did go AWOL in March 2020 and on the first post upon your return you said:

If you're compounding using such a strategy - you will one day lose a substantial amount of money on a tail risk event.

In 2020, there were 21 days where the market gapped down 50 points or more. 5 of these days gapped down more than 100 points with the largest gap down being - 208,50 points.

If you're not compounding and have deep pockets you'll get ahead in the end, but with compounding and no or large stops, you'll eventually blow up and lose a big chunk of your profits.

Unless you put some more thought behind it other than simply buying the cash close. There's filters and rules which could be adopted to make it more reliable...

It is always darkest before the dawn. You ready for a 2500-3500 point drawdown possibility in the NQ in your risk free money scenario? That would be only a 20-ish% drop, which is peanuts! ZERO RISK! Same thing over and over and over again!

Use risk management in a risk-free environment! The messages change as often as weather conditions while flying through the clouds!
