Midnight rally

  1. Now WTF is this at 6:20 EDT or so? 50 point moves in YM, 5 in ES and 1$ in crude oil? Spread in YM went to 10 and at least a full handle in ES for a while there.

I pour my coffee and spit it up on the walls.

Been trading nights lately and I am amazed at the 3 a.m. reversal.

After a day like today, what does the midnight rally crowd expect?
Are we going higher, or do we get a PB?

I've been reading this thread and have done some quik reviewing of the potential that has been outlined regarding a move up when the DAX opens.

I've only looked back for the last couple of months, but here are the results for that period. I have not included weekends or holidays.

22 days that the ES has gone over 1 full point duing the night.
9 days that the ES has been less than 1 full point or gone down.

In addition a number of times where it has made a full pt. or more that same night it dropped right after that so that it actually ended up lower.

My question is: What are you doing to pick up your up moves, besides sitting up all night? Are you setting sell stops?
Yes there are some nights that the price has moved several pts., but how are you capturing it?

If I am long, I look to reverse near 3 est. Or vice versa.
