LOL, a 1 lot piker....LOL Larry, all you have to do is show us your actual results since 1987, no blablabla and references , put down some impressive performance figures including all your blow up's.
Because sunshine continues to be the best disinfectant. As for the people who relentlessly ignore the facts, well, perhaps their real and most immediate challenge is natural selection and maybe Mr. Williams's role is merely that of a catalyst.
On my first trip to NY city, many decades ago, when I was a wet-behind-the-ears teenager, while strolling through the "Avenue of the Americas" (what a name!), I stopped at the McGraw-Hill bookstore. I had already read about Larry's feat at "Robbin(g)s Trading Championship"...so with great eagerness I read several books by Larry for free, while inside the store (I'm a fast reader), then time was running out to get to the airport and I had to purchase "The Definitive Guide to Futures Trading (Volume II)" (what a title!, what an author!)...the secret HAD to be there since all the other books were of dubious content, at best, and were written before the contest... I felt shame at my own stupidity while in the taxi to the airport, and almost threw the book away in a dust bin, but decided that I was going to get back my money, one way or another, sooner or later... I can happily report that I got my money back many times over, and still have the book. I have used it (it's a hardcover book) to kill thousands of roaches and mice, saving thousands of dollars in insecticides, raticides, and exterminator fees over the years. Also, during some of the worst periods of my life, having the book kept my protein intake high while hunting for the critters (imagine killing all those mice and roaches with bare hands...would have been really disgusting). Thanks Larry!. In retrospect your book saved my life!. But let me add this: The best title ever for any trading books anywhere is "Sure-Thing Commodity Trading". I had to rewrite the contents completely, but I kept the title. I'm sure you will understand that my book isn't for sale at any price. It doesn't take much intelligence to figure that much. The man can trade, at times. He can also sell ice to eskimos, and does.
Amazing what the non-trading, gov't dole-sucking parasite class at ET does in their spare time. They should have their own reality show.
Well don't just stand there. Sign up for one of Larry's courses today. Operators are standing by. Evolution is waiting.
Sorry, I'm not obsessed with Williams, Jack Hershey, etc. I don't have the time or interest to go through their records and claims. I'm more concerned about trading, business and keeping my wealth rather than funding bureaucrats and nanny state busy bodies.
And yet, here you are, taking the time to take umbrage at a critique of a vendor with arguably murky origins and questionable offerings. How benevolent for one so busy being rich.
That took 20 seconds. It's not like "... I have read about it in some detail, had the full NFA findings on the matter mailed to me, and even spoke with an enforcement attorney at the NFA." That sounds like something that fills a busybody's day. No one is forcing you to buy Larry's stuff. If you want to get outraged, do so over a politician who spends $19K a month for rent at taxpayers' expense. Or do you live off taxpayers as well? I'm not defending anyone, BTW. That was a total misread. A basic course in logic (particularly inferences) would be helpful.
Motives can often be deciphered by implication. But perhaps you should confine yourself to what you know: first-order thinking. Interesting that you should focus on me because I don't think well of Mr. Williams, whereas it doesn't occur to you to question his devotees, some of them right here, who have read many of his books and attended his seminars, spending countless dollars and hours. What about them? No, instead here you are, preferring to dwell on my morbid curiosity that led to my contacting the NFA in my spare time. This is a trading site, and here you are commenting on how I spend my leisure time. Motive by implication.
I don't dwell on your or his "devotees." As for my motives, you can no more impugn them than you can outperform Larry in a trading contest. Am I wrong? Challenge him. If you can whittle your hours away chatting with enforcement attorneys and whatnot, I'm sure you can take a few minutes each day to prove your trading prowess. Right?
