Just like a lot of these young black people today, you're stuck in the past. They love to whine about racism but they can't reference anything past the 1960s to illustrate their claim. The year is 2014, dude. I'm not denying that those things happened back then...we know this. I've even visited a black church in Alabama that was bombed, killing four little girls. However, that isn't the world that we live in today. So what if a few ignorant white people call the First Lady names? That doesn't mean that we are still living in Jim Crow here in the south. Besides, I've heard black people say disgusting things about other races but that of course is never publicized because it doesn't tow the party line. You can't say that I haven't warned you. On that note, I'm gonna leave this senseless discussion.
Let's just say I don't buy green bananas. Living through something is a hell of a lot different than reading about it. But then age does not necessarily confer wisdom. If one is an asshole, he eventually becomes an old asshole. Look at Dick Cheney.
Life was much better for Blacks, in the Northern cities. But after 50-100 years of Democratic control the cites became segregated and blacks were cut out of the local economy. Democratic policies always end this way; Jim crow style or Chicago style. Slaveships..lol...The International slave trade was outlawed by Briton and the USA in 1807, 20 years after the new constitution, hardly time for the North to get wealthy. It was the Democratic south who wholly depended on the Slaves
There you go. When it came to whites , you said ''so what if a few ignorant whites. . . . and you are right. But when you referred to blacks you didn't say a few , or some, or even many. You lumped them all together.
The North may not have become enriched with it, but they were hardly innocent of being involved in it. It has been suggested that that is one reason why the exclusion of slavery was left out of the Declaration. As has been pointed out an untold number of times, Jefferson et al were slaveholders. In any case, Democrat/Republican of 200 years ago is hardly comparable to what's going on today.
Washington Post: Eight states, most in the South [e.g., Georgia], have election laws with strict photo ID requirements similar to the Wisconsin law that was ruled unconstitutional Tuesday. Glad to hear that Jim Crow stuff is all in the past.
I think it should go without saying that not every black person does this. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence should know what a general statement and understand that it applies only to those that are guilty. I said a few when it came to whites because society believes all whites are evil racists whereas they believe that blacks aren't racist.
If they have ID, I'd imagine that wouldn't be a problem. Of course democrats would take issue with that law because it'd block a lot of their votes from illegals...keeping them from cheating especially since they've been campaigning heavily to Hispanics. Let me say one last thing and really be done this time. Being that you've saw the Jim Crow era first hand, I think that you believe you're fighting for the same group of good, hard working black people that were trying to get ahead in an oppressive world. I'm warning you...today's blacks are nothing like our grandparents and other generations before us. That's what I'm trying to get you to realize. Today's blacks are lazy, violent, don't value education, irresponsible and immoral....and they try to use the struggle of our ancestors to justify their behavior. You aren't standing up for the same black people. If you talked to black people that are 60 and over, they'll tell you that same thing.
This is a major fail for all those community organizers. The poor and elderly minority , they claim, are most effected by lack of ID. Why cant the state get an ID in their hands. These people already have many contacts with different government agencies. We know who and where they are. It would almost need to be intentional to keep ID's away from these folks. With no ID, unable to get a bank account, they take their checks and cash them at the local currency exchange for outrageous fees. In Chicago. guess who part of ownership of these currency exchanges, the politicians. Also with no picture ID there is a loss of accountability for who is voting. Politicians turn in votes from dead people with just some fake signature. Without ID's the quality of life is lower, harder to travel, no airplanes. It is cruel for these community organizers not to take care of this problem.
