In his first public appearance in Hampton Roads this election year, Romney lauded Gov. Bob McDonnell, who is among those being mentioned as a vice presidential candidate, as "one of the greatest governors in the history of the commonwealth." The two men spoke before a cheering crowd of about 500 at Crofton Industries just before U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, a former rival of Romney's for the GOP nomination, stepped forward to endorse his candidacy. "This is what victory looks like," the Minnesota congresswoman said as she praised the former Massachusetts governor.
