Congress and The Administration would have us believe that "somehow, we got pushed into this mess". The TRUTH is that we are in this mess BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WANTS IT THIS WAY... they've had DECADES to make changes to prevent all of this, but they never did.

Yes, there are. Problem, however, is that American politicos are not elected by nor is American run by the smartest and those who have America's best interest at heart. By the time the general population of America wakes up to the fact that "we the people" are little more than serfs... to serve the wants and needs of the Powers oligarchy and their cronies... it will be too late.

Actually....this is a lot more tame than Cheney/Bush's bombs blowing up small families and their three year olds into small fragments in Iraq in the name of a cheaper oil supply.... With the money spent on Iraq.....USA would be energy independent....easily.... Everybody would already be using Battery Cars.....waiting on the next version....
But... Bush didn't care about any of that... nor about the $Trillions wasted on warring in Iraq... nor about the needless thousands of lives lost. All he REALLY cared about was getting re-elected and didn't want to run for re-election when the focus MIGHT have been a recession economy. (So.. what's that like? How about high schooler picking a fight with a 2nd grader... so he can gloat about the "fight" he's won to direct attention away from possible economic ills... As a president, the man was PUKE!) And as vile and revolting Bush was as a president, OBAMA IS WORSE... Picture... the "average American supporter of Obama"... Head up his ass & hand out... waiting for his promised "free ice cream"... and so totally oblivious he couldn't hit sand if he fell off of a camel... (And for all you Obama supporters who don't like hearing the truth.... you've got an "ignore" button... suggest you USE IT!)
