Michael Moore Scorns Obama

  1. +1

I was just going to go into detail. As a nurse, I know, women despise other women who seek power. I don't know why.

  2. If there is a strong principled third party candidate on the right, it will be hard for Obama to lose.

There is no equivalent on the left to what is happening on the right, i.e. the fracture of the republican party into the teagaggers and old GOP.

I do expect a strong bid by some third party teagagger

Face facts, the old line old money GOP tolerated the teagaggers because it meant not having dems elected, but you really think the gaggers and the old GOP are going to agree on a republican candidate?

The problem with extremists, is that they are driven by ideology, often to their own detriment. They don't believe in compromise. Just like Michael Moore is hard left and consistent, he can't tolerate someone who makes concessions and plays the middle ground.

But who among the hard left is going to get enough money to run as a third party candidate?

These days, voting is more about the lesser of two lessors...not a genuine love affair with a candidate or a party platform.

  4. It is because I am a true libertarian. You can do what you want, as long as it does not affect my pocketbook.

Now phenom will take this to the extreme and send us back to Dodge City, but I am sure most thinking people will understand what it is to be a libertarian.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that was my opinion.

Did see the Pelosi Zombie story I wrote in another thread yesterday? It was my basis for the Zombie part.

  8. Definitely. Even Rush knows this.

But it still does not solve our longer term issue, the sovereignty of our nation. We will have to find a way to solve the way we are living. Xenophobia, which is the first line of defense, is not the way. But I don't know what the second line is.

  9. I live in Peoria, home of CAT. That is why I understand what is really going on. I see the decisions the white house makes up close and personal.

  10. Rush's primary ideology is personal wealth and ego gratification.

If he could make just as much money being a DJ he would have done that.

A true ideologue would run for public office, if they had the celebrity and financial means.

Rush when asked why he doesn't run for office said "I'm not going to take a pay cut." Also, being a public servant require hard work...something that Rush isn't keen on personally.

A real patriot...that the idol of the ditto-heads.

Most Americans have to find someone to blame for our problems, they aren't going to blame themselves.

I have yet to see a single viable politician stand up, look the voters in the eye, and tell them they are at fault for making poor decisions on the elected leaders, and abdicating personal responsibility for government to somebody else.

So we Xenophobia is a strong candidate to blame the "other" and keep the corporate masters quietly in power.

The real line of defense, and the real solution is for every American to say "I am, and have been the problem, but now I am going to become the solution."
