They're panicking. Also, how is this not extortion/witness tampering?

Republican congressman Matt Gaetz sends apparent threat to Michael Cohen, alleging affair

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz posted on Twitter that Cohen's wife was "about to learn a lot" about him and accused the former Trump attorney and fixer of being unfaithful in his marriage.

"Hey @MichaelCohen212 - Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends?" Gaetz wrote on Twitter. "Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot..."

  3. Cohen is not this most credible witness on the planet and he may have a motive to lie if he feels there will be a benefit for him to cooperate. Cowen’s “cooperation” will no doubt be self serving.

If Trump is accused of a crime, he still has the presumption of innocence.

Although most would not have use for an attorney that turns on his client like Cowen has, should Trump ultimately resign or get convicted of a crime, I would imagine Cowen would be well taken care of by the Democratic establishment via “consulting” work.

  4. For all you lefties chearing yet another attempt to take down Trump at all costs.

For one second just pretend that Obama was POTUS and this was happening.
You lunatics would be doing self immolation by the hundreds in protest on the Capitol’s steps.

It’s amazing (and disturbing) the bounds of lefty hypocrisy.

A couple of things to look out for with Cigen’s testimony:

    1. Cohen claims to overheard jr and Trump discuss setting up Russian meeting

    2. Cohen claims he ran his previous fallacious testimony by trump attorneys

    3. Cohen will show the reimbursement check for payment made to conceal information from the public in order to get elected to a political office.

The rest is all still interesting about trump being a con man in his business affairs and fake charity but the above allegations is directly related to defrauding the American people and obstruction of justice.

"Yet, last fall I pled guilty in federal court to felonies for the benefit of, at the direction of, and in coordination with Individual #1.

For the record: Individual #1 is President Donald J. Trump"
President Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen has outlined in documents he will provide during testimony to the House Oversight Committee Wednesday allegations he says offer "irrefutable" proof that Trump had committed "illicit acts" .
    • President Trump knew his longtime adviser Roger Stone was in talks with WikiLeaks about releasing damaging information on Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign when they were presidential candidates.
    • Cohen had previously lied to Congress about a Trump Tower project in Moscow during the 2016 presidential campaign.
    • While president, Trump wrote Cohen a check from his personal bank account to reimburse him for payments he had earlier made to porn star Stormy Daniels (Trump has previously stated he didn't knowCohen had paid her $130,000 before the election.).

‘I was happy to do it for you’: Matt Gaetz overheard making stunning admission to Trump about Cohen threat

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has fallen under investigation for an apparent threat against Michael Cohen — which he may have made at President Donald Trump’s request.

The Florida Bar Association is investigating a tweet Gaetz made, and later deleted, apparently threatening to reveal Cohen’s alleged infidelities to his wife, a day before the former Trump Organization lawyer testified before the House Oversight Committee.

Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands) suggested during Wednesday’s hearing that he should be referred for possible criminal prosecution for witness intimidation or tampering.

Edward-Isaac Dovere, a staff reporter for The Atlantic, tweeted Thursday that he overheard a phone conversation between Gaetz and Trump, whom he said called the Florida Republican from Hanoi to discuss the Cohen testimony and apparent threat.

“I was happy to do it for you,” Gaetz said, according to Dovere. “You just keep killing it.”

Gaetz later refused to discuss the call, but Walter Shaub, the former director of the United States Office of Government Ethics, said the lawmaker’s comments should be investigated by both the Florida Bar and the Office of Congressional Ethics.
