Nick Kalivas who does equity and interest rate analysis over at MF Global is a pretty good analyst. However more and more I wonder though how much of his ability is getting trampled by his increasing partisan political viewpoints. Sometimes the morning comments are like listening to Rush Limbaugh. He went to great lengths to defend "President Bush" when the world was falling, and now those same issues seem to be the fault of the "current administration". Everything is a "political risk". It must be killing him the market is going up during an Democratic administration (again). From a marketing point of view I would think MF Global would realize not all of their clients are ardent right wing republicans. And even if you are, its not really helping to have market analysis tainted by one way political comments. He never did this a few years ago.
