Make sure you stop by Plaza Veinte Uno for a little late night "shopping" in the Cancun area!

Have you been to East LA, Harlem, Watts or any "other side of the tracks" in any American city? A "great deal" of crime any place in Mexico [except Mexico City perhaps] won't even show up on the radar screen.

"try to go to playa de carmen , cozumel , tulum and chichen itza for starters ... as there is more to life than cancun"

Playa, that is heaven on earth, went there for a week on my honeymoon and did not want to leave.

Which cities in Mexico are considered as a financial hub for traders ?

For example, in the USA, New York City is known for trading stocks. Chicago is known for trading Futures and Commodities.

Which cities in Mexico are popular for foreign exchange traders for trading pesos ?

    TIA

Glad you guy have not had any problems in MX. I live in Central America (run an IDB down here)and stay away from Mexico at all cost. I have driven the pan American highway, and the only place i ever had trouble was mexico...i was robbed by the police in D.F. (that is mexico city to all those that dont speak spanish...D.F is Distirito federal) and the border guards between MX and Guatemala had a nice scam going as well. I think the main trouble spot is said previosly is borders..and i must add that i advise all to stay away from D.F. lots of crime (violent and non violent) and second only to Brasil in kidnappings. I go to Colubia with pleasure...but stay the hell away from mexico. To answer the provios post, the trading in MX is in DF. The big IDB player there is SIF Garban that run the bonds and currencies. I think the big banks are banamex and Citigroup.

    Suerte amigos,
