Mexico pledged to send 6,000 troops to Mexico/Guatemala border. https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...945ae5db8fb_story.html?utm_term=.94dca4d696c2
I can't wait for 2020 to watch the libtards melt down. I am sure that big pharma that sells depression pills will be happy.
Translation "I don't have support of Congress so only way to do things is to bypass them and use the tool we criticized Obama so much for...Executive Action." Loving the hypocrisy. Mexico was such a national emergency the GOP decided in the 2 years they had the votes it was not worth dealing with. They lose the election in 2018 they thought would be easy and now are panicking.
You're right about the hypocrisy, but you understand it cuts both ways, right? Shouldn't support Trump for something you criticized Obama for, but shouldn't criticize Trump for something you supported Obama for either.
You keep throwing that accusation rather nonchalantly. That people who oppose Trump's action somehow supported Obama doing the same.
Please, the world and internet are full of these hypocrites who supported Obama and hate Trump for the same thing. And full of those who love Trump for doing the same thing they railed against Obama for.
Except, there is very little similarity between the two. A lot of the laws that President Donald Trump is trying to enforce are in place because of Obama. Laws are not easy to remove and replace. Take Obamacare for instance, Trump opposes Obamacare for instance and did as much as he could to try and abolish it being a very bad law. However, Democrats and RINO liberals including, McCain went out of there way to support it and keep it in place. Now, we still have Obamacare in place. Immigration laws where the children are separated from parents at the border was an Obama era law. It is meant to curtail child trafficking which is rampant. A lot of the children travelling to the US are travelling with child traffickers who are not even their parents. President Trump has had to enforce such immigration laws in place until, Congress changes it! He has gone out of his way to re-unify children with their parents inspite, of the huge challenges of doing so! Investigations have to be done otherwise, child traffickers would have a heyday plying their craft and making lots of monies in the process!
I know. One side will always justify why it is OK to bend the rules or even break them when it furthers their goals - regardless of how noble those goals are. But if you take the stance (and I do) that the Founding Fathers had a system put in place for a reason and that we should follow this system in all but the most dire circumstances (and even then, I'm not so sure) then you can't support using Executive Powers.
