Its grim. Seems like the entire Country has no context for current events. They have no reference point to gauge and barometer the current state of affairs. So theres a North American Union? So they're spying on us and taking our rights? So what?! The Country needs a stern re-education as to why the Nations Principles were forged through blood and war.
Looks like the Reagan&Bush-Bush plan to delete civics classes from US high school curricula has worked out perfectly. You can tell from many of the completely ignorant comments in this forum alone that some citizens have no clue as to how their government should be working, an ignorance which I'm sure warms the shriveled hearts of kleptocrats all over the country.

I'll tell you why Bush looks the other way when the Mexican military crosses over our border. To stop it we need our military to help the border patrol. Can't do that, our military is totally committed in Iraq and Afghanistan. If Bush acknowledges there's a southern border problem with Mexico, then he's admitted that Iraq has drawn down our forces so much that it has compromised our national security at home. This would not only embarrass Bush but it would also give Democrats ammo to use against Republicans in the upcoming elections.
