Mexican Drug Cartel Wipes Out Three American Families, Rapes Mothers, Burns Babies Alive

  1. Choosing to live in one of the most violent and lawless places on the planet it doesn't take much to get in the way of a bullet. They have also had an ongoing feud with the drug cartels for several years. They have entered local politics and got involved with people and things which directly impact the cartel drug business. Bottom line, they are not down there on some mission to spread the word of God. They are well armed themselves, have had multiple run ins with the cartels and have shown no fear or intent to pack up and leave. Kudos to them for that, but it's essentially a combat zone, they know that, have known that for decades and choose to stay. Choices have consequences and their choices should not be our problem to fix. If this is a car full of American tourists, completely different story. They ain't tourists and they aren't all that innocent either. It's on them to leave or stay and fight it out.

  2. They're not really Americans as in some visiting tourist. More like expats who choose to live in another country. Not our job to protect them.

AMLO’s Guard Hunts Migrants for Trump as Cartels Run Rampant

    • Force deployed to protect borders as Mexicans are slaughtered

    • During Mormon massacre, the troops were largely at the borders
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said in June that the 71,000 members of his newly founded national guard would bring peace to a nation terrorized by drug cartels. But when gunmen this week mowed down nine women and children on the border of Chihuahua and Sonora states, guard members took at least three hours to arrive.

BTW MPS 'liking' something does not always mean "I like this", just thanks for the update.

That could explain why the Sonora and Chihuahua gangs had not clashed there until now.

It says in Spanish on Univision

"The community of La Mora there are 31 houses for the same number of families. But 10 of these are already abandoned because of the threat of criminal groups to residents.

In addition to the violence of criminal groups, several of the Langford, Miller and LeBarón warned on Thursday that they will leave the region between Sonora and Chihuahua to move to the United States."

It is not clear if the ten abandoned were before the attack but I assume so.

  6. No, we're too busy protecting the kurds, afghans, Israelis, Ukrainians et al. We can't waste our resources protecting actual American citizens living a few miles from our border. Three mothers and six children.

I get it. You see how powerful and violent the cartels are and how they have government protection both in mexico and here. Let's just pretend everything is fine and let a few more million of them in.

    Zillions of them.

AAA has lot his wits entirely, if he were a horse he would be shot.

The beloved house members and senators account for this simply as people who died because they did not spend money on insurance to protect themselves.

In the 2009 study 45,000 Americans a year died from lack of healthcare. Republicans fought tooth and nail to keep this. Do you really think two shits are given about these unfortunate women and kids?

  9. This killing has nothing to do with illegal immigration or border security, don't conflate the two to push a narrative. The point is they are not living within our borders, and haven't for decades. They are not Americans in the truest sense of the word. They deserve no US protection, nor are we obligated to avenge their deaths. The question remains, why do people who have other options choose to live in the land of the lawless? That decision is only made when their is some personal benefit to living in, and with the lawlessness.
