I don't really have much dairy at all. Maybe some cheese on a salad once and a while but that's about it. If I drink milk, it's gonna be almond milk.
I am doing periodization; alternating a month of heavy sets with light set/high rep: Month 1: 5x5 set/rep Month 2: 3 sets approaching failure. The progression typically goes 22-25, 14, 8 reps to near-failure on each group, 2/day Month 3: 5x5 set/rep Month 4: GVT 10 set/reps upper body, 10/6 lower body; 2 groups/day. Repeat 4 month cycle. I hate the GVT and the DOMS sets me back an extra day of recovery, but great results.
