If your knees are truly bad, supplements are really not going to change anything. That is a fact, despite the baloney the supplement companies crap. Maybe arthitis, or you have just abused ligaments, tendons or what ever. Surgery may not be the answer either, unless there is a real physical issue, but supplements are more sounds good. That is my experience. I've tried any number and they just don't rejuvenate cartilidge etc. False and a pile of baloney that may actually cause you to have more damage.
My thinking is slowing down further damage if possible. Do you have a link showing where you got your information that taking pycnogenol or osteobiflex causes more damage?
I didn't say they cause more damage. I didn't comment in that respect at all. As far as opinion, I would say that if they give you a false sense of improvement then you run the risk of more damage believing that they are making something better when they are in fact not. I am willing to read information, but remain a skeptic as to any supplement doing anything for more than a mild strain.
I understand what your saying and the same thing could be said for losing weight and working out, both could be dangerous if they give you a false sense of improvement. And getting in shape has probably caused me joint damage in the past for just that reason. I'm trying to delay the next knee operation by a year or two and on the chance some supplements may help then I'm game.
Look into Aflutop. I believe the doctor can prescribe that to you. It's more of an anti inflammatory. But then there are other options less known, adequan (designed for horses... But used by the vets on themselves lol) has potential. Google it. The only downside is knowing its made for horses not humans, and the fact it's an injection not a pill. Some people don't like that lol. I would only go that route if it's pretty serious though lol. If your dr will prescribe you testosterone ask if he will give you nandrolone decanoate, it has a fluid like effect on the joints and somehow helps to make them feel better. I don't know the exact science behind it, but it's my understanding i believe it helps the synovial fluid? Something like that. Also a possibility if you have some bad issues with joints. These are all extreme measures though haha. Another product people recommend and swear by is Cissus.
How's this deadlift form? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Syt7A23YnpA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Looks good. There isn't much variation on form on DLs. With bench there is a lot of opinions on correct form; arched, blades in; no arch, etc.
Okay, thanks. On leg day, I switch it up between ATG squats or deadlifts. I'd like to include good-mornings or stiff-legged deadlifts into the rotation, but not exactly sure on form. I'm cautious with those as I don't wanna throw out my lower back. I want big hamstrings. I'd love a big chest too, but that's definitely a sticking point.
